  1. Hi Dave, Good to see some of the earlier points on the 73 now incorporated on the latest. One unique 73 feature that's still needs to be included is the extended/recessed 'peg holder' on the buffer headstocks. As for the tread and kick plates, definitely go for etched. After all you are making the definitive model right? Cheers Tom
  2. Thanks Eddie. Cheers Tom
  3. Hi, Anyone know or able to get the diameter of the spring linked to the brake gear on each corner of the bogie please? Cheers Tom
  4. Hi Howard, there is a piece of diamond grid to the left of a window on the box. It's the same pattern as some I need but not sure what size it is. Could you put a ruler next to it so I can see, and can you remember where you got it from please? Cheers Tom
  5. No, all you have to do is either call them or email them. You'll find them very willing to sell their products to you. Cheers Tom
  6. Hi Eddie, Sounds interesting. I've never come across a set of complete diagrams. I've got this shot of a bogie - is it what you're after? Cheers Tom
  7. Now these are totally mad but amazing too . Have you tried them under the full weight of a wagon yet? Cheers Tom
  8. Mick, Both the RTOV and 977983 look good. I like your approach with window swapping and cutting on the RTOV. Don't forget about removing those big strap hinges on the doors Cheers Tom
  9. Hi Dave, It's taking shape nicely. I agree with all the points above but a couple more to add with some illustrations to help. Now please please please scale this up to 7mm 1) The pipe holders for the jumper cables are welded onto pieces of metal (circled in orange) which are proud of the cabfront, which are't on the CAD. 2) The buffer shanks have a large pin (circled in pink) at the end of them allowing for them to be turned, recessed, and locked which is missing on the CAD. This is the characteristic feature on EDs so really really needs including. 3) I've attached a pic of the white pipework (circled in orange) under the second man's window which is missing form the CAD. The pic is 73119 which I downloaded of flickr a while ago and forgot to keep the reference. 4) I've also attached a pic of the tread pattern on the steps above the buffers incase you can't find yours hehe. 5) Can you get some holes in those bodyside lugs please? 6) Lastly I can't see the ariel above the driver's window on the CAD. Is this a separate part or did it get missed? I hope you can make these few amendments to push the standard towards the "ultimate" 73 Cheers Tom
  10. No, go forth and grab one - think JLTRT when it comes to all types of 37s! Cheers Tom
  11. Hi Dave, Some welcome choices there! Will they be available next year or is this more or a longer term project? Cheers Tom
  12. I'm liking this an awful lot - it's one I never tire looking at! I'm looking forward to seeing more Cheers Tom
  13. I trust you'll be painting it in to Connex livery Brain Cheers Tom
  14. Ha, I have a tendency to find just what I need after I've pressed the order button on the similar item too. I think we both need to improve our German based on the tasty bits and pieces on offer over there Cheers Tom
  15. Patience - you do indeed. Thankfully I'm onto the last batch of them now, the Bs (stanchion supports). I ordered the Petau bits by invoice with goods too. I'll give it till the end of the week and then drop them an email. Perhaps it's because I ordered some footsteps in built up condition which might take them a bit of time to assemble. I didn't fancy assembling them as they look too fiddly. I noticed last night that they also do silver unpainted wagon delivery panels as well as the ready painted black ones (http://web271.webgo2...lber-nr-56.html). Options for next time perhaps... I think the Brawa wheels look good but I've now found some other options. The UK wagon wheel options just don't cut the mustard. I'll post some pics when they arrive. Cheers Tom
  16. Hi Brian, Your IGA has turned out very nicely. It's partner in crime is coming along now that I've finished all those cable ties; But I'm still waiting on the Petau bits (how did you manage to order yours after me and get them first lol). We'll have to pair them up soon. Cheers Tom P.S. Do you know where you can get spare 7mm Brawa wheels from?
  17. Thanks Brian, I now know what those 2 bits sticking off the ends are Cheers Tom
  18. Hi Brain, Where on the site are the European lamp holders and the brake changeover levers? Cheers Tom
  19. Hi Brian, Thanks for those. Yes, we'll have to sort running them out. Regarding the wagon label clip - have a look here: http://web271.webgo24-server4.de/Gambio/gx2/product_info.php?info=p51_zettelkaesten--breit-3-paar-nr-35.html Cheers Tom
  20. Hi Brian, That's looking good! I too picked up one of these from John last week. Unfortunately my soldering iron has died (after 11years of good service) so I'm waiting for arrival of the replacement before I can start. I don't know if you've noticed but there are various rings and handrails on the end panels. I haven't managed to find a close up pic of the end on the net to pinpoint their positioning though. Have you got any head-on close up pics please? Cheers Tom
  21. Hi Howard, It's really beginning to come together very nicely now. You've captured the signal box ever so well. Could you take an overall pic which shows the entire length of the layout please? Cheers Tom
  22. Err, how do you mean Pugs, I'm not really sure how to do that or which dimension you're using (Confused.com)? Cheers Tom
  23. Thanks Brian, I did the same, but the RMB didn't have a diagram number. Bob's post has sorted this out for me though. Cheers Tom
  24. Hi Brian, Just looking back at your nicely done RMB. Do you know which diagram the kit covers (97, 98 or 99)? Cheers Tom
