One of the highlights of relocating to Melbourne was the opportunity to visit a real legend of a layout - Llanbourne. Yesterday afternoon I was fortunate enough to be invited on a trip to see Llanbourne - a big thanks to Pete for hosting and to Jim for taxi services! A highlight of the superb layout/rolling stock being this Lima 31:
I also very much enjoyed this 47:
And a few black and white with a bit more atmosphere:
Tractor ‘427 at Llanbourne yesterday afternoon - very much enjoyed the level of depth Pete has created on his layout, as well as the superbly weathered stock. I don’t think this is far off being confused for a real photo!
Kind regards,
Will
Agreed- Could I suggest here-

Now that the garden is a bearable temperature a Pale Ale is the order of the day!
Samual Smiths organic Pale Ale - 5% and slightly chilled is going down nicely.- 6

Great to see some 70’s pics of Aycliffe and to see how it’s changed over the years! Ps- it looks like you took them at Charters Bridge (Aycliffe).

Some interesting local pictures for me today -thank you!
- One observation is that no one quite does ‘milling around’ better than Railtour passengers! Not sure if general ‘milling around’ is particularly a British thing but it has certainly been perfected by Railtour users (myself included in the past).- 4

A long day with a 4 hour drive from Darlington but layout up (Charwelton-into the 80’s) and operators safely tucked up after being fed and watered at the Horse & Jockey tavern!

Nice pic but I suggest the driver of the Sherpa that they move it quickly -unless both lines are under possession! I have seen first hand Railway vans that close to the line and it was fairly frightening on more than one occasion 🤔😂

After living my whole life with the Morse family of series I’m a little depressed it’s now finished but very privileged to have been at an age when it began to enjoy the ride!
I remember the first Morse episodes as a teenager in the late 80’s and following it through to the Remorseful day- Thinking then that was the end! Lewis then came along and revitalised the brand with great success- keeping me more than happy along the way.
Then enter Endeavour! The icing on the cake for a die hard fan! Not sure what’s next but I intend to watch the whole of Endeavour again at some point and I’m not ashamed to say that I have watched every Morse episode again more than once over the pars few years!- 2

Having watched all the ‘Morse’ related series I was hoping to see a few nods to the originals (this isn’t a criticism as I have loved the Endevour outings).
A few spring to mind- the character of Mc Nutt (Masonic Mysteries) and his current Jag 248 RPA.There are many more of course and Probably all good reasons they weren’t such as time lines etc -if I was to try and work it out.
Well I almost got both of my questions answered! McNutt was mentioned as a possible future placement for Endeavour by Bright and the Jag appearing in the end scene!
