    Good spot! 20 144 not a Toton machine but as it’s my only other blue 20 at the minute it’s paired up. Ps- thanks for the info as I have another 20 waiting to be done so might try and get a correct pairing!

    Having fitted hundreds of 3-links to my stock I can certainly recommend the Smiths instanters and I would recommend a trial run on certain items of your stock to see if it’s suitable for the layout! The look of the fitted coupling is the greatest reward in my opinion and outweighs any operational difficulties (we use them on Charwelton into the 80’s with over 350 wagons currently fitted).

    Agreed but as the layout is still under renovation unfortunately the signals are all disconnected and unless they were glued/bluetacked all remain in or near to the ‘on’ position (I did put in the blurb that it was awaiting the route so that it’s assumed the loco is stationary in this shot at least ).

    After 3 weeks out of football convalescing from COVID at last a game of footy tonight! Not exactly mobile around the pitch after the Lurgi attacked my knee joints but managed the full game and scored a last minute goal to secure a 2-2 draw! An old favourite to celebrate bought today from the excellent House of the Trembling Madness in York today - Sam Smiths Nut Brown 5% (featured before but very nice after a hard game).

    Thanks!! Ps- I followed the NHS site and it advised a test today- if positive 5 full days isolating then a clear lateral flow test days 5 & 6 to be released from purgatory it says (that’s if I have read it correctly )

    Mixed day- positive lateral flow test this morning followed by a trip to the local testing station at Blackwell meadows for PCR! Then try to enjoy the rest of my birthday isolating form the immediate family! To perk me up a batch of beer from my wife -George Samual brewery at Shildon! ‘Leaves on the line’ golden bitter 4.2% - more to follow when I get to drink them.
