We attempted to make a timetable for Charwelton and this is what we came up with using services in the 80’s that may/would have used the GC if still open. It’s not 100% accurate I’m sure but great fun researching and trying to make up services that can never have run due to ‘closure’ that we reversed!

It’s not the Begonias he’s interested in showing her more likely his proud array of Diospyros Crassenevis.

Another treat after a hard fought 3-3 draw in tonight’s game! Daleside Monkey Wrench! 5.3% dark ale but with a fruity/sweet finish!

Something really special tonight- Morocco Ale 5.5% from the Daleside Brewery! A slightly spiced dark Yorkshire ale that has a unique flavour!

Hi Stephen, I can say the exhibition was a great success but I can’t give any details of numbers compared to our last show as I don’t have the data unfortunately. It will be quite hard to compare as previous shows have had a years + planning and greater advertising, this show was arranged in 8 weeks, with local layouts and minimal advertising. I will try and get the numbers to compare and thankfully we did have people willing to attend in numbers which should hopefully be encouraging for future shows!

The skin head refers to not having the larger roof light unit fitted, it was a feature that not many class 31’s had and coupled with the white indicator disks gave that particular loco a individual look, it went on to be unofficially named Boadicea.

Hi. It’s the Hornby 31 102 (skinhead) and modelled as the un-refurbished 31 418 in early 1987, the Hornby model I found lacking the more prominent un-refurbished details such as the raised body stripe but still fitted the bill to convert to the 31/4, ETH jumper added and hopefully not too bad a representation of the celebrity machine.

1st day if the show a great success! The highlight was the presentation of G5 locomotive to our club from fellow RM Webber 30368 (Richard) for our Tees Castle layout. A full day to go tomorrow and please pop down if you can and say hello! cheers Andy

With a week to go I’m sure club night tonight will be hectic!!!!!! As an added bonus we are going to have a very well stocked club sales table with some rare locomotive kits and plenty of RTR stock at very reasonable prices!

I’m sure it will run superbly and we’re looking forward to seeing it along with your good self! -Just hope the layout doesn’t let it down! We have just re-wired the control panel from the original Ray Goad made (it was built in the 70’s so we had to update it due to some issues with ageing switches etc). Testing will commence tonight as due to the club being closed for so long we have only had a couple of months to do the upgrade Andy

Thanks for the compliments! It certainly helps having a layout that gives you that depth of field for photos and you have also achieved that with your class 33 pic! I love the wagon on the hill you can almost hear the driver grappling with the gears to navigate it!

Running nearly an hour late 31 418 is captured deputising for the booked class 47 -doing its best to keep time on the Newcastle - Poole service just after exiting Catesby tunnel! -

The p-way team seem unfazed by the appearance of Scottish interloper 37 033 heading south on the ‘Thames-Clyde tractor’ railtour.
