  1. I have to disagree on the start up of the Bubble Car. Its fine if you modelled it starting on a depot that had witnessed temperatures dropping below freezing but for general use like starting at stations it is pretty useless. I did order one of these. Didn't work right at all, sent it back and it came back apparently fixed but it was still not working correctly. Going to have another sound file reblown onto it now instead.
  2. Is making a bachy Warship chassis fit a mainline Warship. Now where did I put my glue?

  3. My throat feels like I've swallowed an apple whole and its stuck. Tummy isn't that much better.

  4. I'm currently trying to fathom the same thing out as well. Think I rig up a test rig and some resistors. I also got stung with the PF handling charge on the tram. Damn thing.
  5. Currently building the same Lister kit myself. I'm making a few alterations on mine to turn it into an 60's built version like the one we have at the GVLR. Will also be making its flying bedsted canopy. Plenty to do whilst I wait for the chassis to arrive.
  6. Is about on the verge of strangling his sister for working her way through all of the batteries for for mouse. All flat!!

  7. Yes, does look like a scrap yard. Hopefully this will slowely start to change now. Quite a few wagons will be leaving the line for scrapping / pastures new. The stored 4TC set is sititng waiting its turn for contract overhaul in Butterley Carriage shed, it will then be leaving line. There's also lots of Class 117 cars in store for Dorset County Council, all about a ton lighter thanks to the local metal theives. Over all, Swanwick should start to become a little more loved as vehicles leave, track gets renewed etc.
  8. I think that at the end of the day, the new model had much more going for it than the old one. The shape may be a little out but if you weather the hell out of them like the prototype then who's going to notice from normal viewing distances?
  9. Thankyou very much for that. Think I'll go for the Sheffield Pullman. Hmm now just to price it up and pre warn the bank balance.
  10. Hi yes, the easier the train the better really so a '65 onwards period would be good. Trains up to 13 MK1's long can be accomodated so I don't really have a limit to which Pullman train is modelled.
  11. Hi, I'm looking to get a rake of these together but I am not sure on what coaches to get as I can't seem to find much information on them. My running period is early to late 60's so any suggestions on what kind of consist would be lashed up for these pullman trains would be a great help. cheers
  12. 2-10-0 What if the war department went to the GWR for an austerity design!
  13. Hmm yes, I wonder what its route availability would be?
  14. One thing I have noticed is that they are not fitted with the brake pipes anymore. They have the two holes still but they are not supplied seperately, well not in mine anyway.
  15. The patch on 47445 is about 2 or 3mm plate. Its about the only left of the original bunker. Hopefully the real thing will be in traffic by 2015
