  1. There is a free sound project that can be downloaded from this page :- ZIMO Sound Database Just do a find in page (CTRL+F) for 1216 and then expand the entry by hitting the Green Plus Signs twice. You can probably order this (loaded onto a new decoder) from any ZIMO Decoder supplier as they will have the gadget for loading the sound project. Some charge a nominal fee for this. You just need to specify the connection type. If it is the Roco 1216, then it's probably a PluX22, but please check and make sure you order the correct decoder. The ZIMO decoder would be the MS450P22, if it is PluX22. This is the latest 16-bit technology and should just drop in to the Roco model. Some will known shops in the UK are Digitrains or Coastal DCC Regards John Russell
  2. ZIMO also have a sound project for the Meiningen loco. Here is the documentation (in German), but I am sure you all know how to deal with that :- Fireless Loco Bauart Meiningen The sound project is encoded and you need to buy a code from the author (Matthias Henning), after downloading the sound project. He will need the Id of the ZIMO decoder you plan to use. This 4 digit Decoder Id is in CV #250 to #253, where each digit can be 0 to 255. After payment, you will get back a code which is also 4 digits, like the Decoder ID, and has to be written to CV #260 to #263 to activate (decode) the sound project. This is an easy way for authors to collect a modest fee (€12, I think) for the work creating the ZIMO sound project. His website is all in German, so I recommend you just email him and state the requirements. He will need the Decoder Id and the name of the Sound Project. To download the sound project, go to the ZIMO Sound Database and search in the page (CTRL + F) for Meiningen and you will find the project. Click on the Green plus signs (twice) to expand all the details and click on the Sound Project (ZSP00745). This will download a ZIMO sound file (ending in .zpp). You will need a ZIMO system or a MXULFA (Decoder Update Device) to upload this to a ZIMO sound decoder. If you are interested in buying this sound project, email Mathhias for the code. His email address is <info@modellbau-henning.de>. Cheers John Russell (ZIMO Partner)
  3. Hi Ian and Iain, This Sharp Stewart loco was exported to Spain to the Triano Railway. There is a bit of info here about its later life shunting in Pasajes Docks (ex-Triano), with a very nice photo. Presumably it worked on the Triano railway prior to its time at the docks. I found a list of locos used on the Triano Railway, but this loco (030-0232) was missing :- Triano Railway Stock List The reason for this digging into the prototype history was meant to make it easier to find a sound file. I am not sure if there are any good suppliers of Spanish steam sounds and this loco was an industrial loco and probably not recorded. You might be better off asking around in a forum for industrial locos. I think you would have to look for a similar 0-6-0 saddle tank sound file as a compromise. One possibility would be the J94, and you can get a sound file on a ZIMO decoder from Youchoos using this link. Others can comment if the sound of this loco would be anything like the much older Sharp Stewart loco, as there is a big difference in years when these 2 saddle tanks were produced. Regards John
