  1. Spot on lan, Good old BR weathered Black, after spending most of the day painting yesterday l took 44409 to Preston last night for her maiden voyage, not 100% happy so shes in the workshop today for some major adjustments, the heavy weathering will have to wait...
  2. Gave the 4f a good run yesterday afternoon at Marks garden railway and she performed very well, hopefully painting her BR Black today, before a trip to Preston club tonight...
  3. Love the coal yard accessories Ade, makes the scene so much better...
  4. l only found that out a while back through talking to one of the painting experts, as l used grey on everything...
  5. The 4f tender is now complete as 90% was already built by lan, all l had to do was remove the coal bars from around the tender as the loco l am building didn't have any, make some repairs to the steps, then give the tender a real good wash / scrub and prime in red, l prefer red to grey as the black seems to have a better finish with the red ?.
  6. Well you can't rush these things, Hahaha
  7. Now theres a thought Paul, but not that clever, Hahaha
  8. Thanks lan, as l love the class 73 (when they appear) l thought it would need to add some sort of power, the dummy third rail is not 100% correct but it looks the part ?
  9. Made some more progress on the third rail at Moss Lane, it needs toning down a bit with some more grime...
  10. lt has a mashima one fitted, so l might stick with that one ?
  11. Cheers Lads, l have done the parcels depot at 'Moss lane' apart from painting, but have bought a rescue job in the form of a fowler 4f, so all in all very busy...
  12. Cheers for the tip Paul, will keep it in mind for the future projects.
  13. Cheers lan, And thanks l'm OK with the buildings but the M/N is a bag full of problems first was the plunger pick-ups, they were far too tight as the wheels could not turn and the valve gear is broken in all the awkward places were l have to build bits to replace, oh well take my time and plod on Hahaha.
  14. Not brave Ray just stupid ? Hahahaha the secret is to take a few close up pictures before you attempt to take it apart so you have some idea how it goes back together, l am the same with DCC, don't get me wrong l love it, but l don't understand it and l get mates to do chip fitting etc etc, take care mate and hope to catch up sometime at a show ? whenever that is....
  15. Working on a parcels depot as we speak, should have some pics soon...
  16. Hello Andy, l'll just take my time, no rush just plod along as always, most things fall into place, Hopefully Hahahaha
  17. Been away from the workbench for a while so the T9 has not progressed at all, but l am rebuilding a Bulleid M/N chassis for a friend, which l have stripped it down, waiting for some new plunger pick-ups.
  18. Those pictures with the steam look almost real Ade, great stuff...
  19. Looking forward to it Ade, no rush...
  20. Thanks Ade, l will take it nice and slow, when will you start your loco build ?.
  21. Fitted the peco fencing along one edge of the bay to stop people nicking off the wagons that will be parked up in there, also sprayed some sleeper grime to the track, and the last picture is a major repair job on a Bulleid M/N that has a burned out motor and broken valve gear...
