  1. the base boards are looking the bizz Andy, very nice, (watching with interest as usual)... PS, l have made some shelves for the locos to sit on, nearly past out when the guy told me how much they were ??? wood has shot up in price..

  3. Hi Ade, the Slaters wagons are almost done apart from the gubbins underneath and steps, they are both made as PLVs in which l have added extra air vents on the sides, Then one will be BR blue for 'Moss Lane' and the other in SR Maunsell green for a later project...

  9. Trying out IPA as a paint stripper on some plastic wagons, and pleased to say it works, not fast, but it works with out melting the wagon...

  13. Had a nice visit to Tower Models on Monday and bought this lovely Slaters PLV / GUV wagon then bought another from a friend when l got home, so its back to the work bench today, been away too long...
  14. Been really busy at Marks in all the extreme heat making two tracks into four, all we have to do now is rearrange the point work at Ruthin, also lan Hallworth installed close circuit TV so we can view the layout from Helenburgh without ever moving.

  16. Thanks for the birthday wishes guys, l try not to think about them at my time of life, anyway new stock for 'Moss Lane' in the form of two BR Blue / Grey MK 1s from Dapol with lights, very nice, a bit big though?..

Hi Paul, Yes it is 1833 as l was taking apart l noticed that the motor securing screws were vere loose, so l put that right, it now runs so muck better now, l am round Marks today so will give her another good run, l hope to keep the motor in as l will hopefully get away with a OO sound chip ? ?

  19. Thanks Andy / lan, l will have to replace the motor as the one fitted is very noisy, l have done everything l know, oil etc etc but no good ? ...
