  1. Two weeks ago there was still plenty of both class 20 models available at the LTM.
  2. I think these two class 66's in Tube livery are more likely to be LTM commissions at some point rather than Bachmann club models.
  3. Based on last year the next mag will not be out until after Warley,as it was there that I first saw the Royal Train Sleeping Car before the mag arrived advertising it about a week after the show.
  4. Oxford Diecast are now using injection moulding for some main parts on some of their models, the coaches released over the last 12 months have a plastic upper body part, and I think some of the lorry models also.
  5. I'm sure that Bachmann are' testing the water' with these initial packs, and if successful will consider releasing more at a later date.
  6. Could 66721 be the next release from the LTM,my guess is it probably will be..
  7. I picked up both of these models today from the LTM at Covent Garden, they appeared to have a good stock of them,I.
  8. If you want more positive information try and speak to Michael Wilson at the LTM,he deals with all the commisioned models that they sell.I know he was looking after the Bachmann Prairie that was commisioned for the 150 celebration earlier this year so guess he will be doing the same for the 20's.
  9. A forthcoming model from B Models is a' British Transport Police Mobile Incident Unit',I can see that this could be a very useful addition on our layouts. There are also three more BR Vehicles also due for release soon.
  10. Mine arrived today,it really is a superb model and well worth the wait. Many thanks to everyone involved in this project especially Kernow Models for having faith in the first place.

    Mk1 Horsebox

If you look at the box on the right it appears that there is an elephant in it,looks like its head and trunk are just visable........or is it my eye's!

    Mk1 Horsebox

Came across what appears to be another use for the horsebox, transporting elephants
  13. It was more a question of cost rather than the units not running together,as surely a pair of unpowered would be little more than a pair of coaches in cost. 4,6,and 8 car sets then become a possibility.
  14. Hornby, can you please consider releasing a pair of dummy cars so that multiple sets can be run.
  15. If anyone is still looking for the 3 Birds Eye conflat/ container set and going to Warley tomorrow it may be worth a visit to TMC stand as they had several sets there today.I just happened to ask if they planned to do a second run of these and it turned out they had found more stock when getting ready for the show. At £39.99 not cheap, but they do look nice when running in a complete train.

    Mk1 Horsebox

My SR two pack arrived yesterday and these were ordered when they were first announced ( can't remember when that was). They really are nice models and look good running with the recent Hornby Horseboxes The TMC Birdseye conflat set that I ordered came about 2 weeks after it first appeared on this site that they had been released. Maybe TMC despatch the orders in rotation of customers placing their order with them.
  17. I just happened to look through the current copy of the' Great Western Railway Journal',Spring 2012 magazine in WHS today and there is an interesting article on these horseboxes with quite a selection of photographs. Pete.
  18. Did these coaches operate with any other types of loco's other than the M7's when operated as pull push? Pete
  19. If you look on their web site under Terms and Conditions,Prices and Procedures,5.4,I think they have themselves covered with this increase. All I can say is that it would have been good if their custom service dept had contact customers who had ordered these to see if they still wished to purchase them. Pete.
  20. So here's the simple answer guy's,and gal's,SEND IT BACK TO Hornby,I'm sure if Hornby are inundated with returns they will hopefully put thing right and maybe possibly stop similar events happening with the BB.
  21. I for one cancelled my order with Hattons this week for the BB and ordered the BP instead.Hopefully the BB will be a better model than the VEP(from what I have read) but I'm not prepared to take any chances untill it has arrived and there is some positive feedback
  22. Could it be that the Hornby rep is well aware of the problems but has been told by his company to keep quiet for the time being whilst the problems are looked at. Pete.
  23. So there's no truth that you sew fishing nets in your spare time! Pete.
