  1. D5579 in experimental ochre livery sits behind the sanding planet on Boleyn Road
  2. Hi, Great weathering and updates. Just a couple of questions. I've used the Boom Box speakers in class 37's (They are excellent!!) but didn't realise they'd fit in the 47. Did you have to remove the fans or the fan and casing to fit in the 47 ? I had to lose the casing and secure the fans to the grilles in the 37. What is your YouTube channel called ? Thanks Trevor
  3. Saw the Cavalex guys at Stevenage today. I must say they were 100% professional and totally committed to making top quality models. The 91 looks superb and we need guys like these to push the level of detail and dcc functionality + sound higher. I'm hoping for a 91111 with biffo sound ( Champagne model although with my depot layout a full train isn't possible !! ) Although I cant preorder yet, I will definitely order one when it's on their website. I wish them all the very best of luck.
  4. June 1960, J15 65469 has been cleaned up by the shed staff and is now awaiting to its next turn on a railtour. (personally pretty proud of my weathering on this!)
  5. Took delivery of the Gordon crane yesterday. It’s been weathered by TMC and I’m over the moon with the results! Of course it’s very expensive but does this add as much to your layout as a sound chipped loco? In my opinion, yes. Posed with the new J72 - another great model with some weathering from TMC
  6. Thought I’d share a couple of wagons I made a few months back. One’s a Cambrian kit and the other is a Parkside one. I did the chipping/rust using the ak interactive ‘worn effects’. Hope you like them!
  7. Purchased Bachmann Deltic Pinza with everything fitted yesterday at Ally Pally. WOW absolutely fantastic. Incredible sound that actually makes other things on the board rattle!! Thank you, one VERY HAPPY custuomer

    Hornby D16/3

Forgive me for my ignorance but in all the production images I've seen of the BR lined black model I can't see the lining under the running plate except for on the steps and just at the end, is it there and just hidden by the pipe or have Hornby missed it? Jack
  9. It didn't have the "Parcels" but did have a BEAUTIFUL cockney sparrow on the side!!

  16. We have now fixed down the track, added lights and static grass. There a number of new additions to the layout including howes sound chipped NSE 108, DBS 37 670 St Blazey and large logo 47572, Ely Cathedral. The lights add another dimension to the layout at night and bring out the best of it. There are still a few more bits to add including signals, more static grass, people and possibly overhead wires from Dapol. 47 573 The London Standard waits on shed (Left to right) 47 535 University of Leicester, 47 572 Ely Cathedral and 47 574 Benjamin Gimbert G.C. wait for their next duty Network Southeast 108 await departure from Oaks Park with a service to London Liverpool Street
  17. After a unsucessful first attempt on DCC we decided to start again after one of the points gave way and running was poor. The new layout has been designed with electrofrog points and a completely new track layout. Taking things slow to make sure we get it right this time. The track's down and weathered and awaits ballasting. It's 7 foot long and about 1.5 foot wide. Control is the standard dynamics which was bought cheap at last year's Warley show. Plans include more sound locos and fitting lights to the layout. Scenic work has stopped as we await the release of Bachmann's scenecraft oils tanks. The current sound locos include: Tornado (Olivias Trains fitted with lights) DRS 37510 (Olivias Trains fitted with tail light mod and double speaker) DRS 37688 (Olivias Trains fitted with tail light mod and double speaker) DRS 37038 (Bachmann sound) DRS 57 011 (Olivias Trains) EWS 60 026 (Olivias Trains) Freightliner 66522 (Bachmann sound) Fastline 56302 (Howes sound)
