Another twist to this android tale, I had only tried the layout I am using at present a steam German and it was one I had to relist as it had disappeared from my railroad layout, as my mobile worked I decided to try another layout on the tablet and I was surprised to see that it worked as normal , tried another that worked etc, but the original just won't so before doing anything else I shall delete the offending layout not too many locos on it and start again with it. However I shall save the valuable advice given by PaulRhB and Dutch Master, thanks again gents for your swift assistance.

Hi I have had myZ21 for 10 months now and been very pleased with it, however over the past month I have had problems with a message coming up that Z21 has stopped working I can download the layouts but when going to run a loco this is when the message comes up ,I am using an Android app and on a Samsung Galaxy Tablet 3 and a Samsung galaxy 3 mobile, the strange thing is that I do not get any problems using the mobile. Is the App on the tablet the problem ? I was thinking of uninstalling the App and installing the App again, the problem with this however I would have to start all over again in listing all my loco layouts settings as I have listed 10 layouts on the App .I would much appreciate any suggestions, I have e mailed Roco and sent a report to Google but await any answers as yet,

No problems with my green C class runs perfectly no stalling or wobbling, same goes for the BR C class as well , I used a Lenz silver 21 pin in both

E-mail today from Hattons that they would be sending my 4 Porthole coaches in one package to save on postal charges and that the price is £24 each coach plus £4 packing charges although no notification of delivery date as yet . Great service and advise on orders to be posted out.

Hattons did state in their weekly newsletter that all orders for the Bachmann porthole coaches ordered before Saturday May 17th 2014 would be honoured at their price of £24 after this date the higher Bachmann price less 15% would be charged. Also they emailed me saying although Hornby had increased the price of Coronation class City of Liverpool they were honouring the price quoted to me some £12 difference. I would say Hattons certainly let you know where you stand with pre-orders

As far as modellers willing to pay £50 deposit, I have ordered the sound version with certificate number 94, so perhaps the numbers being ordered are good in such a short time of the model being announced, after all it is not a low priced model.

Used my Z21 at Heywood MRC exhibition over the past weekend, everything ran exactly as hoped with no problems whatsoever, also the system brought a different topic of conversation between customers and ourselves as well as the usual ones about layout and trains .My three" layout co-exhibitors" had no experience of the system until the Saturday morning, but found the using of the system easy to understand using the Tablet and smart phone to control, we were able to control upto 5 trains with ease .So much so one of them has decided to purchase a Z21. It was also interesting that an invited layout { Tottington and Holcombe Brook ]which is split into 3 sections} was using the ECoS system with each section being worked by a separate smart phone, therefore any interested purchaser of such systems were lucky to have a comparison on view and working.

I purchased a Royal Mail 128, two sanding equipment were loose in the pack easy to fix, if anything the packing of the loco is very good, I feel that the reason for my loose parts was lack of glue to keep the parts fixed to the bogies, also the loco was quite tightly fitted in the packaging and maybe the cause was the in putting the loco into the packaging.

Hornby were offering £100 to spend on their website for any mazak damaged 31s late 2103,although there also was a 28 day delay in receiving the offer.

I have had my Z21 for 3 weeks now and making good progress ,not all locos have been photographed and collated yet ,but now I am quite used to the system , thought I would buy a couple of Roco sound locos one being a "snowblower" as I like a novelty,it is great to see the front blowers whizz round making a snow clearing sound as it goes round the layout , the plough can also be raised and run at the same time , and when it comes to a standstill the cab turns 180 to 360 degrees ,it has lights at both ends and also at the steps . When all the programming is finished I will have to make a snow diorama , nothings ever finished , but it's all fun,

Thanks Paul for your suggestions on the groupings, I have a Multimaus controller system [bought from a split set at Arcadia} and also aim to upgrade to a smartphone in February when my contract allows me to change without cost , so the covers will be good for that and my grandson:s IPhone, as usual I am well behind the younger family members.

Paul, I was a Warley on the Saturday and I feel disappointed that I did not see your layout, just for interest what was the layout ? I did spare a fair bit of time looking at the larger scale layouts 7mm and upwards as they certainly usually entertaining in a physical and detailed aspect.

Thanks Paul for the information , I feel the settings will probably be ok as they are set , the layout is 12ft x 8ft, I had a couple moving 00 sound locos and a couple stationary locos on the layout to-day without any problems. It is like anything new you panic a little, thinking what I have I bought, then a light flashes and help from RmWeb friends and everything seems bright. I will take my time and gradually list all my locos onto the Z21 in varying layout names. Thanks again everybody for your patience with me.

Hi Paul, I have managed to get the hang of setting the functions for the locos and as you suggested I have commenced to use multiple layouts . My screen layout seems to be different than yours mine has cv programming, download driver cab and info which just gives Version 2 2.3 and website as well as the one you kindly downloaded. Could you suggest the Z21 Settings are they alright as set or do I need to alter them , it would appear if changed the changes need to be sent to the Z21.The few locos I ran really respond great and I already feel I have done the right thing in changing systems Thank you for your valuable help John

Thanks Keith and Paul for your replies and great advise ,I only received My Z21 Thursday [most of that used up by the plug problem] and to-day I had a go and so only put a couple of locos on the track , a problem for me is I am still also learning to use my Samsung Galaxy 3 Tablet , Paul thanks for the advise on the tracks for locos as I have over 150 locos of differing eras and I was wondering how to get round a long scroll. I will have another play over the weekend and hopefully my" new tech knowhow" grandson will turn up!

Second thoughts on the functions , can you just enter the function numbers?

Finally sold my Dynamis System and purchased the Z21,had a bit of head scratching trying to connect the WiFi only to eventually find my plug converter must have previously fused, purchased a new one and eventually managed to run a Heljan Sound class 26, sound,horns and air brakes worked out but anybody managed to work any others[doors obvious and perhaps others]?
