  1. But the one in the picture I posted is, that's why I quoted it.
  2. Repainted with BR blue with some matt white mixed in. You can vary the fading on different panels by adding more white. All done with a quality flat brush and sealed with matt varnish.
  3. This one is a bit dirtier, the weathering is copied from photos of the actual prototype. Paint what you see.
  4. I use underframe dirt from Phoenix Precision as it looks more brown than black.
  5. Another HAA with yellow cradle almost finished. Again copied from a photo of the prototype and numbered correctly still has it's AYR branding but with the remmnants of it's Barry branding still in place but painted out. Some graffiti tags in evidence too. As usual transfers from Railtec Transfers.
  6. Great work. That Sunblest bread van brings back memories. I got taken to A&E in one exactly like that about 1979 when I cut the top of my thumb off!
  7. PM me your address.

    Dapol 08

I have several 08's all fitted with Zimo sound chips. These come mapped so the correct lighting functions work. You can have white one end red the other directional or you can select shunting lights one white one red both ends.
  9. The plate covering the coupling lifts up doesn't it to make coupling easier?
  10. The answers to those two questions are as follows, not sure and not sure! I guess I just like weathering HAA's...
  11. Another filthy HAA with faded railfreight cradle and various patches completed in 2007 condition, this time 353233.
  12. Hope I am not boring you all with these HAA/HMA photos? Anyway here is another yellow cradle ex trainload coal version I have finished. Its a HMA with plenty of patches copied from a prototype photo and numbered correctly.
  13. Another Dapol HAA almost finished. This time a faded filthy ex trainload coal version (yellow cradle). I quite like the yellow cradle versions and have another two to do. As usual transfers by Railtec Transfers which I have chopped up some of the number panels and fitted individual numbers to get the correct number for the wagon I was copying. Before and after photos...
  14. The next 2007 era HAA is in the early stages of weathering and fading. This will be HAA 350145 with faded yellow cradle, before work started and current progress pictured.
  15. More work recently transforming the HAA which has become an EWS heavily weathered HMA. Not finished it needs a coat of matt varnish to seal the transfers then another coat of weathering to blend it all in.
  16. Nice work, Scimitar looks great.
  17. Thanks Trev. Great photo isn't it, one of my favourites.
  18. On the workbench this weekend a Dapol HAA with brown cradle. This will become a filthy HMA number 355863 with an EWS and filth cradle. I have already painted the under frame and the cradle ends with frame dirt. The mechanisms for opening the hopper doors are picked out in white and unusually it has one yellow and one red axle box cover. Next step will be weathering the hopper then decals.
  19. Looking good Rob, nice to see you back.
  20. Saturday shunt with 08737. Another stunning Photo by Chris Nevard for Model Rail magazine.
  21. Thanks Steve, I will have a look at your progress.
