  4. Damn, didn't have my binoculars nearby... Starling to Blackbird sized species, longish beak of medium thickness, long legs like a starling, couldn't see solours cause of the sun, but it made a trilling type noise of a parakeet, certainly looked british... any ideas?

  12. for £49.95 Buy it now, you can have this fantastically high quality lump of italian junk.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lima-Industrial-0-4-0-N-Gauge-Diesel-/250733022331?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3a60da4c7b#ht_1661wt_952
  13. do what I do, use kit bashed type loco. I have a lone star OOO engine shell on a farish 25 chassis and it goes like a bloody rocket!!! but the purists don't like it when I take the layout out and about!
  14. In terms of using the engines as possible chassis and parts donors for replica projects, I think it is a great idea. Ok so we aren't building them anymore! but there are an awful lot of them knocking about. I like them, short wheelbase and lots of grunt and power too them!
  15. Actually sneezing whilst looking at a T scale layout.... also while i think of it, what about live steam Brio? self contained firing system!
  16. been a while since Iv been around here, oh how life distracts me from this wonderful hobby :( I want to build a new N gauge layout though....

  17. yes I know what you mean, although when i receive the spam i normally add that domain and that user to the blocked senders list so it never gets to my computer, touchwood it has worked!
  18. after seeing the paypal thread I hust remembered... the other day I got an email from 'lloyds TSB' saying about my account being overdrawn or something. well whoever sent it hasn't got a braincell since i don't have any account with them!!! since im a whizz on a keyboard, i went and did some research on the email i got etc, turns out to be spamming or fraudulant taking you to a link related with haiti.... yeah wierd... i keep meaning to report it to Loyds, got a branch down the road i might nip in and tell them in the morning. so just watch out if you are a TSB account holder
  19. Got an old steam engine and now can't remember who bl@@dy built it.... CET? CST? CES??? ###### obscure names!!! why???

  20. needs to obtain a bowman chassis from a 234 or similar engine.... anyone??? ..... *tumbleweed* ok guess not.....

  21. to be honest, yeah we noticed the advert but because i got ________ off with the go compare advert doesn't mean I am going to use them. the only advert that really grabs me in a good way atm is the ford fiesta advert because of the music, which sounds really 80's and I love it. so I researched the song and i found the artist, listened to a few songs on youtube and voila they have a new fan!
  22. Lynard Skynyrd - Sweet home alabama. Although it is longer than the average record, it does not get played like all the time on Radio two so i get annoyed when Steve Wright talks over the end of it..... (then again he talks over the end of EVERY song)
  23. Mine are all the go compare adverts, despite the one on the moon with the aliens, there was some form of humour to that! i hate EVERY single one of those bl@@dy compensation adverts, it is worse than a stomach bug after a boozing spree. I really extremely hate the things. wow you had an accident get the heck over it, stuff happens (polite version!). I came off my bike about a month ago, I didn't sue the bump in the pavement!!! the underdog adverts are now getting extremely maddening, for one, i hate the advert and its tone in the first place, secondly, i am starting to get narfed off with listening to a voice of a certain 'comedian' who has the sound of a teenage choir boy who got castrated..... the one that doesn't annoy me but wins the darwin award for what the ______???? is the ING advert about the donkey and the mole?? personally if they just cut that tosh out of it and had a plain straighforward advert showing how simple their services were in the first place I dare say people would pay more attention to it.... so apart from losing my chillpills somewhere in the kitchen, i have thought that perhaps adverts should go back to 50's-70's esque type advertising, simple, straightforward and something we can physically relate to as humans in a constructional sense instead of using animations and silly attitudes with men and suits..... talking of men in suits that compensation advert with the two blokes in suits... I thought it was a micky take out of Men In Black!!!! LOL!
  24. thanks for the heads up I have Vodafone myself can't remember tbh when my contract finishes!!! either this year or mid next so will keep an ear out will let my other contract mates know too
