  3. Just had a letter from the wonderful DWP, telling me I can't retire, until I'm 66. Ho Hum.... I didn't intend to retire, until they nail the box shut. Nice & sunny here. Visibility excellent. Ian
  4. Merthyr? No, I think we've been there before.... Lets try Mold
  5. Northwood. One of the smaller ones, just outside Cowes, IoW
  6. Ouch! That's a lot! Can I suggest your gas appliances are checked? We used to have an old floor standing boiler. The amount of gas we used would run the street.... Regards, Ian
  7. Now:- Hold on! Was that Leipzig, or Croydon? So, it's either Goodrington, or... New Cross
  8. Sounds as though your office overlooks our back garden....
  9. Late on parade... Very nice here, lots of sunshine, and a bit of breeze, just right. Visibility spot on, at around 12 miles-ish. As I write this, I can look over towards Wootton, and see the downs above Portsmouth.
  10. Southsea. I can see it from here!
  11. Senghenydd, just above Caerphilly. Regretfully, one of the largest losses of life in the South Wales coalfield.
  12. Aaargh! The Heat! Actually not too bad here. My dogs are lying in the sun, and coming back in to get a drink now & again. I'm not into this tennis malarkey, so I'm upstairs, typing this between making fence posts for the layout.
  13. Lets go to Bedlinog, South Wales
  14. Lets go to Yarnbrook, not too far from Westbury.
  15. Ningwood, on the Isle of Wight. Served by the Freshwater, Yarmouth & Newport Railway.
  16. I wasn't aware that Norwich suffered continental drift....
  17. Hello Rich, Recently witnessed a single large crow having a go at a buzzard, and I was quite amazed at the determination of the crow. The buzzard had to get into a thick pine tree, to try to get away from the crow. The crow didn't stop however, and still persisted, finally driving the buzzard off. I've seen 2 crows going after a kestrel. One crow was playing 'Top Gun' and flying about 15 feet above its partner, who was getting stuck in. The Kestrel easily out-turned the crow, but the crow kept going, for a good minute or more. At this point, 'Top Gun' dived in, and took over the attack, the other crow flying up, out of the melee. After about another minute, the positions were reversed. This kept going for a good 5 minutes. Ian
  18. The last 2 letters can take us to many places... KEttering, KEntish Town, KElso. But, without looking, I think we've been there before.... So, I'll offer KEmpsey, which is on the old A38, below Worcester, but above the M50. Or, just using the last letter, lets go to Evesham, which is near Worcester as well. Your choice!
  19. We've got several hollies in the garden, and the birds are very happy with that. There's also a large clematis in the front garden, where we put most of the food. Our Mahonia is in berry at the moment, so we get a great deal of to & fro from the local blackbird population.
  20. The last 2 letters can take us to Llanvihangel, on the Newport-Hereford line.
