  1. Dave Have a look at the brassmasters inside valve gear for there 4F, i'm sure that it could be adapted as either working (very fiddly) or non working, but then I know you like a challenge Phil
  2. Hi, Instead of using loctiteto fix the nut in place and the risk of gluing throds up try using threadloc, you can at least break the contact to remove the nut if you need to in the future and also if the rods get locked up a gentle easing by rotating them should free them off. Been there done that Philbax
  3. Thanks Dave, I didn't realise the pony trucks where differnt. The picture show this well
  4. Bill Bedford does a nice little etcing for bending up handrails. excellent if you have to get them all the same. Code E017, handrail bending jig, not expensive, does everything from 1mm to 17mm in very small steps
  5. Great work Dave, a real milestone, I bet you can't wait to get the other bord up and running. Like the Ivatt, tells us more about it. How long has it taken to get to this point from the first cut of material, it doesn't seam that long.
  6. Love the coal plant, what is it based on and what is the source of the drawings for it?
  7. Good luck with your first brass kit, we all have to start somewhere. I got a bradwell WD for xmas and my approach to pushing rivits is to use a tool with a reasonably sharp point and hand pressure with the brass on a pice of MDF. I find that the broaches for reaming out holes are ideal but beware that if you have too sharp a point you can push through. Philbax
