  1. I've used the numbers from the Cambridge Custom Transfers sheet, but I believe Fox do a sheet of number transfers.
  2. There was a film posted on Model Railway Express (www.mremag.com) a couple of weeks ago taken in the early days of electrification around places like Hemel Hempstead. Most of the suburban trains were diesel hauled and the film does give some fascinating glimpses of the coaching stock, which seemed largely still to consist of ex LMS non-corridor stock
  3. Nothing wrong with this, but why follow this approach in 0 gauge? It would be much easier and cheaper to do it in 00.
  4. Glad you had a good day, Ken. I've fond memories of Llandudno, having seen the Beatles play there in 1963. As a kid I longed to go on the tram but my parents thought it expensive so up we walked. I could do it then but it's a different story today. Regards Frank
  5. An excellent article by Steve Banks on BR Parcels trains in this months Modeller.
  6. Cambridge Custom Transfers may have what you want; www.cctrans.freeserve.co.uk/
  7. Mike shares my allegiances and I thought he'd appreciate the irony of the suggestion! I remember going past Huskisson many times in the 60s and 70s. Full of fitted vans, as I recall, so Parkside will be rubbing their hands at the prospect of this layout.
  8. I too look forward to seeing this one develop. I hope you'll be modelling Rice lane baths as well? Maybe the Goodison floodlights on the backscene?
  9. Something looks odd about the chimney on the model of 43875.
  10. I really like this, SN. It reminds me of looking down at Huskisson Goods from the line going into Exchange back in the day. Good work! Frank
  11. Brian, Great work on the Conflat L. I've a couple of them to do but am waiting for the containers to be released. Do you have an idea when they will be ready? CME, Mousa Models are at; http://www.mousa.biz/ Regards Frank
  12. I think they do these Coke wagons. I was quite pleased with how it went together. It was mainly brass, very little white metal. Regards Frank
  13. Really interesting photo of the gasworks. Is that the one on the Langton Dock Branch? I have very vague memories of seeing one of these engines on that line. The fact that I remember it suggests it was pretty unusual so it must have been late 50's. The diet at that time was usually unrelieved WDs.
  14. There is an article on these engines in the February 2013 Steam Days magazine, with a few photographs, including some that I'd not seen before.
  15. A couple of (not very good) pictures of my 7mm 7F, built from the Gladiator kit
  16. Coach numbers would be at the right hand end. Pre-nationalisation coaches had regional letters at both beginning and end, so yours would be M xxxxx M.
  17. Excellent work, Michael. Maybe you should get the group to scrap Lime Street and start on Exchange instead..
