  1. Hello, I probably like many others have just received notification from Rails that the new rerun of Dapol O gauge bubbles have landed, one or two caught my eye for my chosen modelling eras.

for those interested in these units, the blue grey class 122 unit M55005 looks interesting, are they really going to model it when it ran with class 121 exhausts ? looks promising when zooming in on the Dapol stock list picture. IMG_5720.webp.e3577a7c469ba0d151aec09aef687123.webp

In the product description Dapol have noted improved drivetrain running, so let’s see what they have come up with, personally I just remove one of the motors.

I have it planned to do this unit when it moved to LA and ended up with black windscreen surrounds as P105

    Happy modelling

With my ( oh so)  little knowledge of BR  stuff...If I were to be tempted... for say a route learner.. in mid 1980's ..

Which would be the appropriate  livery for North of border?

Clearly I need to do some research... but this would be 'something different'  for a visit to Alston Sidings.

Advice appreciated.... let the pondering begin.......

  3. Hello Nick, I am really liking your layout project, I had a plan many moons ago based on Bourne End in 4mm that never really came to fruition. I do love the simplicity of the track layout, and the idea of creating scenic atmosphere with the less is more approach.

but I have something mulling again, this time in 7mm utilising the Dapol O gauge 121’s, of which I have 1 or 2 of 🫣 or may be a few more than that !!

    I am following with interest

  4. Nothing wrong with us "lefties", as we struggle to overcome the oppressions of a right handed world !!! 😁

Nice idea on the figure to have him "moving" 😎

    Best regards

    Craig.
