Nothing wrong with us "lefties", as we struggle to overcome the oppressions of a right handed world !!! 😁
Nice idea on the figure to have him "moving" 😎

At the time you describe, the green to blue transition period - locally to me, Cardiff Canton had both Cl.121 and 122 units (well, just one of the latter).
.
W55019 usually worked the Penarth - Cadoxton service and was early into blue - but I don't recall the interior (uphol;stery) being changed.
.
The Canton 121s, which over time included W55023, 55025, 55026 and 55034 (BSYP) & 55035 amongst others, also worked Penarth - Cadoxton, as well as Bridgend - Cymmer - Treherbert - and likewise, I don't recall their upholstery and interior decor changing when first repainted.
.
In June, 1969 a BFYE W55026 was working the Bridgend - Cymmer service with a sheet of plywood in one of the large saloon windows.
Hello BR2975, dioch yn fawr thank you very much for responding with that information.
Best regards
Craig.

Hello, I have been trawling the internet trying to find specific interior details of class 121 & 122 DMU bubble cars.
I wanted to know when these units got repainted from Green to all over rail blue, where the seat coverings changed at the same time ?
Or did some units go in, have just repaint, and get their interiors/seats changed at the next major inspection/overhaul.
Any information or picture would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanking you in advance

I was trying to think what it's original use was, cheers
Hi Russ, do you mean what was it’s original use after passenger workings ?
Some of the 114’s became Parcels units, hope this helps, apologies if it’s not what you meant.

This topic is of interest to me, as although I don't model in O gauge, a good friend has asked me to have a look at his Dapol Class 121 because of its poor running. My first thought, on being told that it has 2 motors, was that it was possible that the motors are working against each other to an extent, and I do plan to remove one motor & see what happens, having first eliminated things like poor pickups, dirty wheels etc. What other solutions have people tried, please, and did any of them work?
Mark, I have a 122 unit, I bought it cheap from Hattons pre-owned as a poor runner, I found in one of the motors, the spindle shaft has excessive back and forth travel, so much so it was getting excessively hot, so something is amiss inside.i have taken the motor out, the unit runs fines on the other motor.

I didnt realise the 120s didnt make it to preservation , at least driving cars. That seems a a shame considering all the 101, 108s we have and the brilliantly restored 126 at Bo'ness . I'm assuming asbestos had something to do with it .
surely Heljan could scan some of the 126 at Bo’ness, as they are a related unit.J&M Hughes do a 120, I have a couple of pairs of their resin cabs, I am sure if Ben liaised with Micheal from J&M he could knock up a 1:1 version for Heljan to scan ? 😉.

I sent a faulty 121 one back in July, they sent me a print off label, to go with a courier, Parcels2Go, IIRC ? And even offered to post a label to me, if I didn’t have the print facilities.
i took it along to the nearest Parcels2Go place to me, which was a Garage, all sorted fine and dandy, no problems, refunded within a week.

Just a note, some banking apps allow you to use your phone to photograph a cheque, and then it will be processed through your account.
So you may not have to go into a bank branch after all.

I picked up one of the ground cabin kits, it’s lending itself to loosely being made into a LSWR “thingy” for my 7mm project.
It sits on a scratch built stone base, made from Wills 4mm coarse stone sheets, the steps are a 7mm laser cut kit, again bashed about a bit.
it’s a great little kit for the money, and Peco’s interior kit is nice as well.
i do have one of the Laser brick kits in the stash, but I haven’t even opened that yet

Dear @Pete Harvey, your items are excellent, but is there any chance you can offer another method of payment instead of cheques please ?
Surely Bank Transfer must be an option in these times now please Pete ?
