  1. Early days yet Mate, mine took nearly 8 weeks to complete in the end .... wrong bits sent, I paid to send them back, didn't get a return postage refund or even an apology verbal or written on the shambles of how the order unravelled, just some self centred garble about how busy and tough his business was at the time !!! I think Phil is a bit too belligerent to a) listen to his Friends for advice, b) learn new ways to make it easier for him and his customers or c) both. I just hope I have enough stock to do all my track work now and not have to go through the rigmarole of ordering off him again. Craig.
  2. Hello George, that 37 looks right at home on Grundy Street, great to meet you today, it was a nice sociable meet up. Best regards Craig
  3. Hello, I am after an answer to question regarding the 1970's Cambrian Coast double headed passenger services, when the trains had 2 rats double heading say 10 coaches or so, what was the procedure at unloading and running round the train at Pwllheli Station ? It may sound like a daft question, but the station head shunts could only fit one loco at at time, so did the front coaches that could fit on the platforms get drawn in by the locos, then everyone got off and the coaching stock shunted back into the siding loop & the locos then ran round the stock, and they shunted them back into the station for the return journey ? I am hoping somebody who travelled on them can answer my question. Thanks in advance Craig.
  4. I would have to agree with Simon, I would have thought the dimensions would to be a tad too small to get a 3 way in on a point that is some 17.25" in length ! Play around on Templot, and that will give you the minimum dimensions recommended in 7mm Best regards Craig.
  5. I hope to be bringing 2 selections of Welsh Cakes ... Tan y Castell "which are a bit boring" & Village Bakery "Wrexham" now they have a nice cinnamon flavour Old Eyes will be drooling like Hooch ...
  6. Is Rustling code for something else ? ... or is it the noise the waterproofs make as they come down !!! Saw this at my old stomping ground today whilst visiting my Mum ... just a bit a temptation to sway The Grumpy Old Black Eyed One ...

  10. Hello does anybody have JLTRT (Just Like The Real Thing) Class 24/0 diesel kit they are wanting to sell or possibly swap with a JLTRT Class 22 kit I have spare. Please contact me with any offers to discuss. Best regards Craig.
  11. Welcome back Rod, looks like you and Rose had a great time via your FB pictures, the fence is looking great, as others have said, no fence in real life is symetrical over a length such as you are modelling, and yes the clumps at the base of the posts will add to the realism. Best regards Craig,
  12. . Give it time .... they are like buses, there will be 2 or 3 along soon at the same time !!! I can’t wait to get mine and play with it ....... life is far too short to worry about it being incorrect by approx a Gnat’s knob length here and there, or this window is out by X, and this panel is out by Y, and then there are those who complain and lambast the model and finish off with those imortal words “ I Model in 4mm so I wasn’t buying one anyway” or “ I don’t do Diesels so I won’t be buying one anyway” Anyway, well done Heljan, this is a great 7mm - RTR Model Craig
  13. Good shout Phil, is it worth Steve putting the feelers out for interested parties in a pre-refurbed model ? One interested party Craig
  14. Nice signal box kits Andy, will you be modelling a signal man handing over the exchange single line token with the .. cough cough .. bubble car driver ?
  15. looks good Andy ...... right whats all this stubbornness as you get older ? I'm not having a station I'm not having a Bubble Car I'm not having a Bogcart ...... I seem to remember the same Stubborn old Mule saying ..I'm sticking with 4mm, no I'm not, I'm going to have some 4mm & some 7mm, no I'm not, I'm selling my 4mm and going totally 7mm .... there seems to be a pattern forming of ... CRACKING !!!
  16. Eddie, just to confuse the issue slightly, didn’t a few of the earlier or later build 117’s have curved top headcode boxes ? Best regards Craig
  17. Good morning Ernie, I concur with “N15Class”, with the time spent on soldering the wire to the fishplate and aligning the holes, it’s just as easy to put the droppers on the running rails of each section of track, this will eliminate any probable weak spot problems of relying the fishplates to conduct your power round the track. Great project. Best regards Craig
  18. Probably not till the blue period though. Best regards Craig
  19. Good afternoon Jon, I am an exiled Bury Lad, and I travelled on the "Bouncing Hummers" lots & lots of times, nice application of the GMT livery, as others have said these units also appeared in rail blue & blue grey before the GMPTE livery appeared, are you going to be modelling the lit mercury bulb in the centre windows, please find below a couple of great 17 minute videos by signalman John. C. Earwicker, here it shows some great footage of the last days of this line under BR ownership, including the units being dragged off for scrap, and engineers trains etc. Happy viewing. Craig.
  20. Hello Howard, in the forth coming releases, the Dapol 122 bubbles could be found on the LMR & SCR, you could even stretch the time frame a bit for a Swindon 120 also Best regards Craig.
  21. I never realised that BR used those squids for carrying trees ..... Lovely work as usual Jints. Craig.
