  1. Something a bit more traditional for today. St Blazey stalwart 37/5s; 672 and 669
  2. Not sure it goes with that coal hopper... just sayin...
  3. On the Sunday morning the layout was surrounded by a few ‘movers and shakers’ including this bloke who wanted two lumps in his coffee...
  4. Tonight’s picture is from York show a few years ago... I think this was the first painted sample of the APT...
  5. What was the roundy roundy BR blue layout in the middle of the tent? What I remember was every 20/30 minutes we’d get a 56 screening up the bank on MGRs I think - sounded brilliant... Some very nice BR red/ blue Derby research stock too
  6. Yes the Burton show was a bigger event - we were in a tent in the brewery...
  7. Mark, Three great pictures there - thanks for posting them. Picture 1 It seems so long ago the layout was up and looked like this - you forget what it looks like. In fact I genuinely can’t remember it’s last show... Picture 2 I see the ‘rozzers’ have caught up with the Snowland Stud in the Admiral Rodney. Either that or they’re all having a pint of St Austell ale and pasty together... Picture 3 Another ‘unknown’ loco. Just down from the potteries?
  8. Wigan show, we were opposite Liverpool Lime Street and came away with the best in show trophy - in fact I found it the other day. If that helps....
  9. A few questions still remain from this incident; Who? Where? When? Why? How?
  10. and it’s only early on in the Rail Head Treatment season....
  11. I’m at the ROC today, how about this pair stabled in the ‘parcel sidings’...
  12. Here’s a thing. I didn’t realise until about ten minutes ago that RMWeb keeps a record of all the pictures you’ve uploaded. 3000 in my case - it turns out. So, just for a bit of interest I’m going to post one or two previously seen pictures of the layout in its heyday when it was out and about on the exhibition circuit... Here’s Chris’s marvellous rendition of St Blazeys signal box (which is still there today and operational). Judging by the poor quality photograph it must have been taken from a passing train to Newquay, perhaps an ex Manchester with a 50 up front. Hellfire...
  13. I remember now why I printed them out a few years ago. It was to show the then Head of Track for LNE (I work for NR Eastern Region). He commented that he thought also it was real but after further inspection noticed that the railhead was too flat. I thought at the time, well I can live with that!
