  1. And now in position. The plan has holes pocked through it at the corner of the buildings which is the way I usually transfer things on to a baseboard, however I can find no holes in the board!
  2. So this is the board top as it stands. To be honest I thought there was more information than this - all that’s drawn on the board are the two points and the rails for the sidings. I’ve placed Exactoscale sleepers to get a feeling for the track layout. There must be a paper plan somewhere. What a disconnect two years inactivity gives you - inefficient as I’ll end up re-visiting things I’ve already done no doubt.
  3. Thanks for that. I wasn’t trying to catch you out, I was genuinely interested to know if DMUs were permitted to be used to shunt tank wagons.
  4. I’ve only just clocked this. Excellent news - well done.
  5. It’s been a while. Recently I’ve spent a good lot on time here watching what everyone is building. Well it’s got me all fired up again, so tonight I’ve dug the layout out of the garage in to the warm with a view to remembering where we got to. First things first, putting the main board up...
  6. I’ve just spent the last few hours reading through this thread. What a really nice, neat and meticulous build. Good job.
  7. Thoroughly enjoyed all three of these, thank you for posting. A question if I may. On the last of the three films right at the end the fuel tank is sat on top of the DMU with the 25 shut down in the centre road. How does the fuel tank end up on the right end of the 25 for its trip back? Thanks.
  8. Pictures have been destroyed of the choir. I’ve only just completed long therapy on that one...
  9. And one of my favourite photos taken by Andy York. The stock from Diesels in the Duchy is seen on Black Country Blues. Heading back from the potteries back down south west to St Blazey and beyond...
  10. This photograph I took of Black Country Blues was inspired by the work of Collin Gifford who captured the dying days of steam in his books ‘Each a Glimpse’ & ‘and gone forever’...
  11. A couple of shots of Diesels in the Duchy by Andy York...
  12. I’m quite enjoying looking through my old pictures of the layout. There’s all sorts most of which don’t have notes against them. A case in point is the picture below, another no idea on; who, when, why, what and how.... To be fair I have an inclining on the who...
  13. I’ve been through all my uploads to RMWeb and find the rake is surprisingly camera shy. It consists of 5 coaches although some of the shots only show 3. Here’s a couple of pictures - I’ll keep looking....
  14. Good evening. As someone that works for the railway in York and is originally from Louth I’m very interested in both projects that have been mentioned here. What is being done here to represent York is simply stunning - and tastefully adjusted to meet the constraints set. Is that a model of Louth station in the background of the bottom picture? Exceptional modelling here...
  15. Here’s tonight’s picture; 56013, 47474, 50149 and unidentified 37. The Penzance TPO is stabled in the back ground. Oh and I’m also chuffed to bits, I’ve found my old original 50026 avatar - it required the firing up of a very old electrical device, I think it’s still cooling down a day later...
  16. As one of the three builders of Treneglos your comments are most appreciated. (2manyspams & OldGringo being the other two trouble makers). I too remember discussions on pronunciation - the perils of interfering northerners building south west layouts ! I still have John (OldGringo) ringing in my ears after a trip down there practising ‘Launceston’. I didn’t even try that one.
  17. Speaking of Jocs - I can say that because I’m a Ross - this rocked up at one show... Very nice.. One of the best liveries and from back in the day when you couldn’t buy these - you had to convert them...
