  1. It says removed not stolen so perhaps you will have to refit them?
  2. Bidding mania strikes again.
  3. Did not Rails of Sheffield have a similarly shaped loco before?, IIRC a Heljan 47 that was withdrawn as soon as it was pointed out to them.
  4. There used to be a sign as you approached Harwich that said 'Harwich for the Continent' to which someone had added 'Frinton for the incontinent'.
  5. Well it started at 99p, if the idiots want to bid it up why shouldn't they?
  6. I have seen a picture of this sign from a Safari park >> 'Toilet' and underneath it 'please remain in your car.' And another sign in the Australian outback >> 'Next emergency phone 179 kilometres'.
  7. It seems to be a habit with many vendors to describe almost any model railway item as 'Hornby'. In much the same way as 'Hoover' is used for vacuum cleaners or 'Transit' for a medium size van.
  8. Why not just print a photograph of one onto paper and cut it out.
  9. I have checked the ones that I have, unfortunately they do not have a manufacturers name. I am pretty certain that I obtained them at a model bus exhibition and I have seen them advertised in model bus publications.
  10. High vis vests are available in OO scale in the form of transfers. They are intended for the cab interiors of model trucks and vans. You could always cut carefully around them and glue them on backing paper and all.
  11. That Todd must be a very important bloke.
  12. I wonder what would happen if it was ignored the lady concerned could end up giving herself a nasty bite.
  13. Here's one for those who want to 'detail' the new Oxford Transit. >> http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/
  14. Many years ago an Irish farmer by the name of McDonald had the registration EIE 10. This had to go when the Republic of Ireland changed its system.
  15. I meant the avian variety. There does not seem to be any raptors modelled in any scale.
  16. Many years ago an Essex farmer had a Land Rover with UPU 2, spaced out as UP U 2.
  17. I had a sparrowhawk using my patio as a dining table last year, the 'victim' was a pigeon that she had caught on the wing. The surprise was that both birds were about the same size. By the way does anyone produce models of such as the sparrowhawk in OO scale?
  18. The bus stop is a Master Models product and quite rare. In good condition worth £15-20.
  19. IIRC starlings were deliberately imported to the US. They have now become a pest however.
  20. How can the driver see out of the windows?
  21. The LNER had one, IIRC it lasted into the early 50's
  22. Quite so, the most consistent manufacturer scale wise IMHO was Yat Ming but the best models were/are by Real-X.
  23. Cararama made the Mercedes cab in both 1/72 and 1/87 scales. Their larger models came in packaging describing them as either 1/72 or 1/80 scale! The Scania was as Bernard said about 1/77 scale, the Mercedes was closer to 1/72 scale but the '1/87' scale version was nearer 1/80 scale.
