This looks amazing, might have a go at something similar in N gauge when things get better. I really like all the details and the cameo scenes sound good too. Jerry.

Hi Everyone. The last few weeks have been difficult, current situation does not help so I'm just taking each day as it comes. Hopefully next week I should be able to get a bit of modelling done, nothing has been done since the last update apart from a tree added. Stay safe Everyone. Jerry. -

Hi Everyone. I have been unable to do anything to the layout due to the current situation regarding coronavirus as I have two venerable people in my family. I will update when I can. Stay safe everyone. Jerry. -
The signal looks good, very tempted to get one but bit pricey, you never know, one may appear on Reeuse. Jerry.

Hi Everyone. I have been busy painting some figures and adding a bit more hedging around the station, here are a few photos: Hedging added around back of platform. Overall view of the station. Some of the figures I painted. Some more figures. I'm going to add one or two more figures and that be it for platform figures, I will then add platform lights, trolley, luggage etc. More soon. I can't remember when I joined, a fair few years ago now. For me Rmweb has been a life line. As some of you know I have had some health issues and family issues and the support and comradeship of this forum has kept me going through some very difficult times. I have made some great friends too. It's a place for everyone, everyone is made to feel welcome and there's always a freindly person to help you out if you need to know something, it's sort of like a family. The skills and knowledge of others is passed on to newcomers to the hobby and not so newcomers. It's not just about modelling either, a whole host of topics are covered but the one that has stood out for me is the kindness and support I have received from Rmweb. Well done Rmweb for such a brilliant site/forum. Thanks to everyone who has shown an interest in my modelling, helped me, supported me. You are all truly great. Here's to next 15 years and beyond. Jerry.

Hi Everyone. I have added some undergrowth to the embankment and behind the station, thinking of adding some furry friends to the wooded area, we will see. I will post a photo later. Jerry. -

Thanks Everyone for replies. Paul, I have done that and it looks good so thanks for that. Engine lane, your layout looks great and I too reuse things as prices in the model shops are getting expensive. I'm going to add some undergrowth to the embankment too. Here's a quick photo: Trees added to embankment. More soon. Jerry. -
It will be interesting to see how you get on with the signal, have been thinking about getting one myself, it looks great on your layout. Jerry.

Hi Everyone. I have been working on the back of the layout and made a small embankment and laid some cardboard down behind the station to raise hight so I can add vegetation etc. Here are a few photos: Embankment and grass behind signal box. I wish i had made the embankment slightly taller but never mind. A few more figures added, some need painting. Overall view of left side of layout. Next is finishing off area behind station and then planting trees. More soon. Jerry. -

Thanks Jinty50. The figure is part of a range of figures ( Can't remember which ) and they are not bad when painted up. Penelope is the first passenger on the layout and she's off to a dance in the next town. Back to building layout, I have been busy making trees for behind the station and signal box section, will post photos when they are added to the layout. Jerry. -
Very nice figure that, can I ask who makes it? Jerry.

Thanks, the trees are made using strands of forest wire that you twist and then shape into your desired tree shape, I then cover in tile grout mixed with a bit of pva glue, once dry I add a second coat and when dry paint and add lichen. It's a messy way of doing it and you're wrists get knackered but you can get quite good results. Jerry. -

Jerry1975 replied to Jerry1975's topic in Boxfiles, Micro layouts & Dioramas
Thanks for the replies Everyone. The layout is fully wired and functional, it's quite fun to operate. ( forget to mention in a earlier post ). I have a railcar for passenger duties and a small 0-4-0 and 0-6-0 and coach too. I am saving up for a class 121 bubblecar to add to the passenger roster. I would urge anyone to have a go, it's a simple design and fun to operate, you could use Paul's original design or like myself use your own take on it. Jerry.
