A quick update today, I have made a industrial building but I'm not quite happy with it so I may buy one, also added a post box and figures to the other end of the layout that hides the fiddle yard. Hi TechnicArrow. Thanks for your suggestion, unfortunately its glued into a recess in the concrete hard standing so I can't really alter it now. I do that so the buildings look like they have been set into the ground rather than plonked on top of it. Jerry.

Hi Everyone. I managed to grab a hour this morning and did a bit of work on the layout. I added some rough overgrowth and planted the trees, also made a start on hiding the fiddle yard with low relief industrial units, pavements etc. Here are a few photos: Overview of layout. Hi Everyone. Thanks for the support etc so far Everyone, it's much appreciated. I have managed to do a bit more to the layout today. I have made a start on the concrete hardstanding and built up another fuel discharge point kit. Hi Everyone. Thanks Marc for your suggestions etc, food for thought. I have managed to do a little work on the layout, here is a photo or two: Security fencing added along the back also paving. Made a start on hardstanding at the front from plasticard, this will be painted a light grey colour and weathered once complete. Aerial view showing fencing and paving. My dad is not so good, he has dementia and is in hospital fighting a lung infection and a few other problems. More when I can. Jerry.

Hi Everyone. There has been a few slight changes at Newby Lane. I have added an other track under the bridge, also shortened the fuel tanks so they would fit, the track has been painted also. Here is a few photos: Fuel tanks shortened and turned 90 degrees, other track added. Overall view of the layout as it sits now. Aerial view of the layout. Hi. I've had some good Ebay bargains myself, regarding the transfers you mention, I know some people print there own using some sort of waterslide transfer paper or you should be able to buy some fox transfers perhaps. Jerry.

Hi Everyone. Just a quick update. Well, the industrial units have gone from the bridge. Here is a quick photo: Looks better I think. I also started with the palisade fencing, its a Wills kit and looks really good. More soon. Jerry.

Thanks Keith for your comments/suggestions. I think I will take those industrial units off the bridge, I was going to sleep on it but I wasn't convinced they looked right. The points are streamline ones, small ones but look better than the set track ones. Jerry.

Hi Everyone. I managed to do a bit more work on the layout this morning. I painted up the new building, here is a quick photo: I still need to add brick paper to it, not sure about position, may move it once all buildings have been built. I also put the other industrial units on top of the bridge to see how it would look, not sure yet about it, what do you think. Any comments/suggestions are welcome. More soon. Jerry.
