  1. Jeff, just be careful on what you wish for. Oh sorry, you said crystal, hhahahhah
  2. Hi Jock, cheers mate, no its not a lose screw, its a much to blooming big screw, and will be changed shortly. The wiring is now almost sorted, I think I have blown one street lamp and I want to add some Platform Lamps later as well.
  3. By the time you come back Jeff will probably have moved, and be ordering a rain forest of trees. Jim will have made a whole forest of trees for Jeff to eat into. Mick will be controlling the axis of the Universe from his mission control centre. Rob will have Bulleid everyone to death. Chris will have the worlds first 3D layout up and running. John will have seen the light and SOLD all his American and German stock and be doing a Southern Layout based in the Weald of Kent in 1938. Shaun will be doing his best to grubby his layout enough to be Grim up North. James will have taken over Lego World and starting a Franchise. Paul will see the light and change his tag to LMS Forever. Scott will have us drooling over Stockrington once more. Jock will be claiming Scottish independence and severing all rail links south of the border. And finally Jason will have built the Bacup Extension. O.K. I exaggerated about Jason's one, hahhaha Oh and I will be wondering if I'm moving or not.
  4. That's a cracking pic above and also it shows the Blue Grey coach in the formation nicely. So much scope for big scenery on a Station like that. Wonderful.
  5. Morning Jaz, Yes I will do, the boards on its side at the mo whilst I tidy the wiring up, but yes, I certainly want to add some more of the scenic pics on here.
  6. Morning Ray, I know I answered this last nigh, but, I've just had a quick look and my Dremel is packed away in a box in storage (I hope) so it will have to be the Stanley Knife and chisel. Cheers, if all else fails it may have to your other method.
  7. Nice idea Ray, I 'll look into that mate. Regards to Polly.
  8. Cheers Neil, it is nice and now that the wiring is almost sorted on the first board I'm a lot happier. Next big job I guess will be the Kadee Magnets, I have some of the big under track ones. I have tried them under the board, they work but there weak, so its either in track ones like I had on Glen Roy or cut away some baseboard, and hoping not to damage the track or ballast. Thanks for looking and posting.
  9. So after tracing some more wires back through the looms, grey to white, back to grey and a blue for the other one, I decerned that they might just be for the lights. So I very gingerly disconnected one and using the resistor I connected it to the track feed. You can guess what happened next Well shock and disbelief It Worked I then connected the buffers and the rest of the street lamps. And BINGO it worked. So now instead of loads of wires it will be just two to the track feed, and so far two to the controller. Next job, order the Points accessory Modual tomorrow.
  10. Hi and evening all, I have managed to sort out the track wiring this evening and had my first Loco running all over the Main Board. There are just 3 end on feeds so that was easy, but I may just and put some extra feeds in later as with the points, they can only be worked in a set formula for doing the crossover, its no real problem just something I can alter at my leisure later. Please excuse the big screw in pic 3, all the rest are packed SOMEWHERE. Again the white plug is temporary until I have finished testing.
  11. What time are you coming down to sort it out? hahhahaaa
  12. Andy I needed a Thanks for info tick and an I agree tick for this one mate.
  13. Hi Al, you said you'd been up to something and I missed this earlier, it just wonderful to actually see trains running after all the hours of work you've put in on the buildings. A truly magic moment. Re the back wall, I think a blue board for now and a proper backscene as funds permit, its not going to stop the trains running, and that's the priority, DCC and Running.
  14. Thanks for that, a great site, but it says the Layout is by a Greg Brookes?
  15. Come on Jason, more pics please, that will give more responses and maybe get you to 100 pages before the 18th.
  16. PAUL, Why oh why have you been keeping this from us, I need to see a track plan and more pics for a fix please, it looks just wonderful. Thanks for posting.
  17. Yeah thanks for that Clive, Nuff said I think!!!!!!!
  18. Don't mention the C word, we haven't even got a date yet. :nono:
  19. Hi JK, loved the vids and some great pics of Goathland and your take on it, which is pretty dammed impressive. Go Go Gall. :locomotive: :locomotive: :locomotive:
  20. Maybe heat is generated inside from the electrics?
  21. Cheers Don, I have a Gaugemaster T1 with the normal 16v AC out, I have this in a seperate box and just plug into the baseboard so that I can use it on any Layout at any time. I have used it befoe now come to think of it with the Peco Motors and the GM accessory decoder. This will save replacing all the point motors and I can use the 7 TT300 motors I have (at £22.50 each) for TLGP. Thanks Don. SORTED. :locomotive:
  22. I agree Don, especially now with CAD Drawing etc, its so quick compared to the old days of just a couple of years ago.
  23. O.K. in my opening gambit one thing I mentioned was the state of the wiring, and that's the first thing to address. All the existing wiring will be removed, I will then have a better idea of what's what. I will concentrate on the track to begin with, and once that's wired and tested then it will be the points. Next will be the Signal and Buffer Lights and lastly the Street Lamps and Van Head Lights. Here is what I have at the moment. And the Control panel which I probably wont use anyway. Sorry about the quality as the first few were taken with the board up side down. Just need to. Un Bodge
  24. Route Programing, now there's a thought, wheres my Prodigy Manual? Good luck with that one mate.
  25. Afternoon Don, you and Mike are absolutely right, and these are the sort of things I'll be doing once its up and running, the wiring is the first priority and the change the point motors or fit a DCC accessory modual. QUESTION. Can you wire a DCC accessory modual to Peco point motors?
