Having a welcome brew on the 0952 ex Aberdeen HST and some BTP bods are patrolling the train and as they walk through they're greeting the passengers with "Good Morning Sir/Ma'm" - how refreshingly polite.

Braving the ECML to try and get to Darlington today, assuming it's not all underwater!
-
Another day, another East Coast HST. Off to Murrayfield tomorrow to watch us beat the Yarpies! If not it's going to be an expensive one as I'll have to buy the beers for the SA contingent.
-
Just enjoyed a mountainous curry and almost fit to burst, dog walked and time to put feet up and play trains.
-
Twas on the good ship Venus, by christ you should have seen us......
-
Off to Shildon tomorrow for the first time. Question is, will my willpower be strong enough to avoid buying one of those lovely Compound or D11 models...

Grand sunset over Montrose tonight. All that's missing is a V2 hammering away with a southbound fish working...
-
A fine warm afternoon in the Sunny North. Time for some "3 before 8" and a beer...

Away, haul away, haul away for Rosie...

Two austerities and a Shire hooked on the front, hauling five coaches with a Hiker hanging off the tail. Quite a sight!

It's that time again - Polish hospitality and a weekend of driving and firing beckons.
