  1. Updated GNER on the Virgin sets just south of Grantham. Hope of interest.
  2. Had a couple of these come into London Luton, also one of the early ones that were made.
  3. The propeller one is Airbus 400 Cargo and the jet as mentioed the C17 Cargo. The two Hurcles together. Hope it helps.
  4. Tried to catch the practise over Lincolnshire the other week, chose the wrong spot after much planning lol. I will show them but not good as they were quite away from me. Hope may be of some interest. 67 in the practise.
  5. Seeing the Vulcan in Thunderball thought this may of be of interest, not very exotic Filmed in a old London Gas Works. Late Sir Roger Moore getting into a mock up Helicopter mounted inside the building as though flying through it!! Next day the crew were off to film more of it in the Bahamas,I was not invited sadly.
  6. Would this Loco pull the heaviest loads and what would the max tonnage be, How does it compare to any other loco please? Thanks Gordon W.

  10. Some 47's found in my old negs. From the Hitchin area Norwich, Cheddington and Thornaby. Last one on the rear of Flying Scotsman just before it failed at Peterborough. This was Donnington Links. Hope of interest. The nice green one was at a open day Bounds Green I think many years back!!

  19. If the comment was for the first Luton Fleet just out of interest it was a Commer not the Game cock. Thought you might like to see a few models as well Hopefully.
  20. Thank you all for the info, quite interesting. When I started it was a County Borough, The 3rd one is the Thornycroft Major Foam Tender of its day, The 4 axle one was an Irish Timony appliance also had a 2 axle faster rescue appliance. Airport appliances were not allowed to have Twin rear wheels they could get clogged in mud, so only single wheels to give better grip. Also Airports did not have the same rules as County Appliances, they could be all colours. we were Yellow up into the 80s. Another fact may be of interest is that the front and rear of the main major appliances had to have a slope to enable crossing ditches better. This was the fleets when I started and the last when I left. These were Dutch Kronbergs think they were called. Hope OK.
