my Dapol 57xx kept jumping off the track or going down the wrong road at the points

following jacks comments i have just run a few locos on my layout with all set track points. Dapol jinty no go Dapol 57xx no go Dapol terrier no problem ixion fowler no problem ixion hudswell clarke no problem Heljan railbus no chance kit built 57xx with flangless ctr wheels ok beattie well tank no problem kit built 13xx pannier no problem 14xx o-4-2 no go gwr 2-4-0 tank no go

bit of an update, slight mod to track layout, wiring done everything works ok. need to sort out point operation. bit of work done on clay dry building.- 31 replies

just been working on the branchline to the shed. temporary removable bridge over the 5". will do a better one in the future. -

altered the track plan slightly and messed about with the building muckups sorry mockups. got to make a start on the wiring next i think. -

decided to move the layout downstairs as its easier to work on.done a bit of track laying, just waiting for a RH point to arrive. bought another skytrex clay hood. was to nice to stay indoors yesterday so had a run on the SM32 garden layout. -
there was a 2 car set as well

been away on holiday for a week. here are some progress pics on the clay dries end. all board tops painted brown ready for track laying. -

near enough yeah, only the points are setrack and the siding lengths are not like that. -

here is a pic you should be able to work it out. i am getting a bit peed with the fact that they are unimog and not electrofrog. do you know how to convert them easily ?. dont suppose you have a spare RH you dont need -

started on my light railway as i have stalled on my GWR BLT. track plan is based on wantage. there will be a dairy and china clay sheds. the station will be a shed type with open front, max train lengths are 24". there is a 2 track fiddle yard behind the clay shed. track is peco with shortened setrack points here are some pics with mock ups.
