I have a 1.9 diesel Fabia on a 03 plate. I have had it for just over 2 years it runs a treat. Goes first time every time (watch it fall apart now). Round town I get about 55 to the gallon on a motorway trip I can get it up to just over 60 to the gallon and that's with the aircon running. I start to get heat from the heater in less than half a mile, and that was in the cold snap last December. It had over 100,000 on the clock when I got it. Apart from two tyres for the MOT and the regular service, I have spent nothing on it. The previous car was a 1.3 Felicia which was sound as a pound. The only problem I had with that was when the alternator packed up on me in the outside lane on the M5.

But that's not a PIE, surely it's a Pasty? In fact, I've just remembered that we're going to Cornwall - the home of pasties, yippee!
Gringo-tastic!!
There's a few this side of the Tamar which might dispute that remark

The kit was produced by Boscarne of RMweb for his own rolling stock and as far as I am aware any surplus ones to his own requirements were sold off, two of which went to indomitable026 for Diesels of the Duchy, which got past onto me for building.
The main hurdle to completing the build is the transfers of which there is now none available commercially, the originals were produced by Scale Model Transfers which ceased in Dec 2010.
I am currently producing the TRL logo and the Tullis Russell logo for these two wagons from a jpg of the original transfers sent to me by Boscarne, most of the remaining transfers, the tops panel and the larger lettering can be obtained from Fox
The difficulty of producing all the transfers is that the tops panel and the writing are white and there are not many models of printer that print white
Hi
Try steam and things in Australia. I needed some bespoke transfers in white for some wagons and so long as you do most of the artwork he will produce them at a very reasonable price and the service was smashing. I sent of the artwork (email), it needed a little tweaking of the font, but apart from that no problems he then emailed me the price, I sorted the money and they were here in about a fortnight.

I hope you are avoiding penalty points Gordon - it must be a great temptation to just see what these fantastic machines will do. Well, it was when I had a couple of quick cars anyway. Nothing like the class of those you are using I hasten to add. Anyway, if you do get points, you know where to come.

Looking VERY good. I visited there once, whilst driving a van (I use the word van in it's most loosest sense) for the DTG who had acquired some spares from there. It was a reasonable drive down but the journey back left something to be desired. It was definitely in the Rolls Canardly bracket.
I certainly needed a fresh pair of underpants and several stiff drinks after the experience.

I use mine as a basic aid, usually I have looked at a map first to get a good idea of where I'm going in the first place and also use the road markings and signs. I have seen to many idiots change direction with little or no indication as they wait for the NAG to tell them to turn off the last one I saw was on Friday where he went sailing across 4 lanes of traffic on a roundabout, I could rant on for pages.

I dread to think what "The Prospect of Whitby" is like, now - it was always a bit touristy even back then due to the movies.
I believe my old man took me to the "Town of Ramsgate" - I'm not sure as half the time the locals called the pubs by nicknames.
Best, Pete.
Hi
The Town of Ramsgate is more of a local's pub with prices and nosh to match, whilst the Prospect of Whitby is a right GT. ( GT being a grockle trap for those not from these parts)

Below is a photo of a Dogfish aquired by the ESR from the Isle of Wight when the PW stock was moved of the Island. It is the one closest to the camera the other 2 came from a different source and may have been black.
No alterations have been made to it since it arrived apart from freeing up the brake gear and the discharge door operating mechanism

I shall be purchasing one whatever the number as I always add different plates so as not to follow the common herd. I don't normally worry about the livery either as it can soon be changed to what I require, they usually need a repaint after detailing anyway.

Hi David
The Taunton to Barnstaple line utilized GW moguls for a fair number of the trains as well as the more ubiquitous tank engines plus in BR times some of the other lots engines made guest appearances on summer Saturdays, most notably T9's and N's .

Ditto the above remark. I first saw the layout a couple of years ago at EXPO EM, the layout is coming on in leaps and bounds. This is from a GODS WONDERFUL modeller.
