Owd Bob
A 1987 view looking west over Ince moss Wigan from Taylors Lane bridge, a view that no longer exists because of the jungle of tree's that have grown un-checked since.
RMweb Premium iands Posted July 28, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 28, 2019 Just found this thread. Very interesting and nostalgic in the case of 1st generation DMUs, and some really absorbing photos of landscapes. My rather feeble effort (apologies for the quality, we had a very early digital camera that used a 3.5 inch floppy disc as its storage medium, capacity 1.44 MB - remember those?) is dated 06/04/2001 of an UID 156 (or is it a 150? I'm sure someone with more knowledge in such matters will correct me if I've got it wrong) heading over Goole swing bridge towards Goole.
Owd Bob
Another mid '80's pic' taken at Parkside Liverpool Junc' Golborne. Pic' taken from near the M6 Motorway flyover, in the days when you could still park up at the track side of the Liv'-Man' line and watch stuff coming off the WCML at the same time.

One showing 156412 heading towards Lowestoft. Apologies for the quality of night-time shot, but it was taken quite late into the evening, and just after leaving the pub !! Cheers, Phil. In the first one, the line continues through a hole in the backscene!

RMweb Premium Northmoor Posted August 15, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted August 15, 2019 Not much of a "landscape" but a small event: At Woking Junction on Saturday, two Class 159 rakes passing. The Westbound service was routed briefly onto the Down Slow to avoid the track workers before rejoining the Down Fast just beyond the bridge I was standing on.

RMweb Gold Market65 Posted September 15, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 15, 2019 I like that Metro Cammell DMU formation of two three car sets. DMCL + TBSL + DMCL & DMBS + TCL + DMCL. A good typical formation from the heady days of the first generation DMU’s. Best regards, Rob.

RMweb Premium iands Posted September 22, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 22, 2019 Another photo from my "work archive". Following the Ais Gill accident (31/01/1995), we were required to conduct NRN/ORN coverage tests over the S&C route. Once the wreckage had been removed and the landslip rectified and the line opened to traffic again, IRIS II was booked (on a Saturday I seem to recall) to carry out the coverage testing from. IRIS II came up from Derby, and we joined it at Leeds. We had a short stop-over at Hellifield (to let some booked services pass). Whilst there, I took the opportunity to take a photo.
