RMweb Gold DaveF Posted December 16, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 16, 2017 Switzerland today with a visit to Schindellegi Feusisberg on the Sudostbahn. The station is situated on a short level piece of line, westbound trains face a climb at 1 in 20 to get to the station from Samstagern, the gradient resumes at 1 in 20 as they leave the station. Obviously eastbound trains need very good brakes. East of the station is a double track section, to the west is single track. The train in the fourth and fifth photos is carrying a full size steam loco kit. EddieB
This is an interesting load on C17362 an 363. Looks like an old steam loco will go to the workshop for renovation. If it would be scrap it wouldn't be loaded so neat. Must admit that I’m still puzzling over that one. The cab looks quite German, but I cannot think of any German 0-8-0Ts likely to be in the area at that time. Any more details or notes please, Dave?
