  1. As I'm banned for your page I'm afraid that's not an option for me thank you.
  2. Hello, I have a Dapol class 73 I wish to renumber, I haven't done a diesel or electro diesel before so I'm not familiar with transfers suppliers... I was looking to renumber but haven't found anywhere that does the BR Blue E 6040 number.. Could anyone point me in the right direction? As I can only find later private owner groups like gbrf ect.. Also would anyone happen to know if any lighting mods exist to up date the lighting on the front as I think they were fitted with light clusters on the fronts. Thanks in advance.
  3. Yea I just saw that lol typical again some of those photos in the newsletter are months old... like December / January, little news the DCC plug has changed to Plux22, still 2nd Quarter... which we are already in almost in the middle of so... still an update but nothing more than I already knew. Still fears on how correct it will be, as I still till this day not seen one properly assembled with a body shell clipped down, probably due to that Dcc chip issue.. So the painted body shells, are from around mid January. Chassis blocks/bogie towers were done in November/December 2023
  4. Yes slips in unfortunately, most of my devices have now learnt what I generally mean which is an achievement, usually I have no idea what I mean anyway.😄 KR certainly has gone quiet in recent months, Facebook, newsletters.... I keep expecting to see the arrival date slip even more.
  5. It's exactly the same, no changes apart from a small body tooling change on the coal rails. Chassis and motor is all the same as Kernows... Well it is their tooling.
  6. I am probably one who is a critic of KR, but I will stand by what I say and what I find... We pay KR to produce a model that is accurate that is correct, with models being close to and over £200 I would expect that model to be correct... so Dave down the pub who doesn't care won't notice but he will think it's a damn good model... or Steve the rivet counter modeller who will pick it up and maybe find fault with small things and probably the track gauge but will convert it to P4 anyway so why bring it up... The fact is its good they are doing these rarer locomotives but I find myself wondering what are we paying them for.... is it to spec.... is it correct... is it what we expected... I have a Leader on order and I know there's a fair few areas that are not right... did they do their research... or just send one drawing to China and say make this please. He's had people try to help in the past from the Fell to the Leader.... description issues on Bellerophon all working motion... which wasn't true or possible... so why say it... The GT3 is probably one of their better attempts but that is the one Keith wanted himself... minus some detail on the tender as @Wolf27 has mention and a few others in passing at shows. If your going to make something... do it properly. Maybe it wasn't wise that Keith named the company after himself as he seems to take feedback personally.
  7. Hello, New terrier diameter wheels: 15.9mm old tooling Dapol/Hornby: 15.91mm New Dapol terrier: 15.85mm
  8. I received a preserved example of the steam railmotor from Kernow, I decided if there were any left I may pick one up and after they dealt with the mass of orders to send out from the past 10 years, I went and ordered and arrived pretty quickly, overall its a very nice model, lots of detail, runs well, lighting a little bright, some light bleed from the main internal lights, I only run DC so I'll just have to adjust my dimmer... I mean speed controller 😅 https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBhpZD And a small review: Cheers
  9. Hello, I've been lurking for a little while, mainly watching people pinch photo's off my website and post them here without even asking... lovely... Anyway I have decided to post one of a few models I have built, or modified or designed and 3D printed.. This one is a few years old, and was a design which has been hidden at the NRM in York. This a Bulleid, austerity pacific, dubbed the Q1 Pacific in one magazine which I managed to buy a few years ago (Steam world 1982), shows the wooden model as displayed at the NRM. Some debate on when or what it was for, was it an early Merchant navy or a light pacific... The model has recently been upgraded, and new details added which I occasionally sell.. as its a bit more straight forwards. So here's a few photos: Thanks
  10. Well 1 and 2 almost built and a third half built lol sounds like my workbench after I brought one lol
  11. It's just a painted sample of an old body shell, so its about 6/7 months old now, as it's still not attached to the chassis, which was still a problem back then which was being resolved... unfortunately not the other 25 things which are not right but hey ho... For @ikcdab If you are going to make a model make it properly... because unfortunately those who are in the know will know.. and as a modeller and a person who knows about it... and lets forget the track being 3.5mm and the body being 4mm, as that will never change... and its been accepted... plus people can re-gauge if they want to.. but if you don't do your research is it worth the price being paid. As modellers we always want more in terms of detail and correctness from spokes, to correct wheels, rivets being flush or not, missing end of the day if you don't do your research it will always be a comprise to what you give the factory to make. Plus we all model differently, most accurate wagons, carriages, locos but budgie grit for ballast and Peco code 100. And yes ok we get a model of Leader... great. But for me, and I will speak for myself the errors especially blatant ones annoy me, as its not about cost... just down to research which is available if they look.
  12. As they are 3D printed, they will never be robust... so means you have to keep replacing them more money for them... unfortunately as they are a resin/abs/plastic type material, they will only cope with so much... they will all fail eventually.. this is why I never brought in to the hype of them... now the manufacturers have picked up on them finally, I would say their market focus has shifted to line side details...
  13. Same I was after some a year ago still am... All I was told is these things don't happen over night... a year later they haven't reappeared as they were an Elieen's special... some bits are now with Cambrian on eBay.
  14. They are extremely small mind, there's other photos from the book where they don't show up at all, they may be just about visible on that photo, but scale it down to 4mm, they probably won't be that visible, from the prototype or pre pro, they were rather large.
  15. To keep the cab metal attached to the metal frame however on the front these should be flush riveted unfortunately and shouldn't really be visible.
