About this blog

Disused and Misused

This blog is a collation of all the serialised track plans and descriptions of real (but disused) railways originally posted randomly in various forum posts here on RMWeb. Along with some (mostly) light-hearted and descriptions of (mostly) imaginary railways that might have been, but never were. Usually because they were bonkers (not viable) schemes. With the addition of some semi-fictional accounts of correspondence from the guilty parties at the original times. Along with an (in)famous scheme that actually was started, but (literally) never went anywhere - the Dawlish Avoiding Line (DAL).  As it will take me a while to collate all the bits scattered across the forum posts, the first thing I'll do is put links to the original forum posts in the Sidebar. To remind myself what was where. Then create blog posts, expanding the stories, and add them to the Sidebar as well.
