Have been adding a little detail to the body, It has been a little slow as I have had some time away from the workbench. Mainly waiting for things and people that never turn up.

The first pictures show the bunker rear and the water filler which was scratch built as there was not one with the kit. I still need to add the top lamp iron, and the fire iron brackets, once I have worked out how to make them.

We then move onto the injector feed, which was also built up from brass as the white metal one was incorrect in shape and where the whistle fitted.

Now onto the smokebox door, which I repositioned and and added the hinges and a new dart.

Now we move onto the cylinder lubricators, clack valves and blower valve. The first two come from Laurie Griffin, the later was out the spares box.

Next we get to the sanding operating lever and rod on the drivers side.

Next is a full view of the drivers side showing all the pipes and rods etc. I also fitted the hand brake in the cab. There are levers and handwheels to add to the rods etc in the cab. That will happen when I start the cab detailing. The front lamp brackes still need to be done. Then it is just down to the chimney and dome I think.

If you're portraying one of the North Cornwall Three, then it wouldn't be a Beattie door but more of a Drummond/Urie one.

I see what you mean. I think I will need to look into it. If I can find a spare or turn one up in my drill I will change it. If not it will have to stay as to get one from the UK will take a couple of months.

Here, try this one...

I think that's a roughly 4ft diameter door.

Well just been checking things. Smokebox door on model is 28mm which is 4' Scaled doors to between 25-28mm. Also found smoke box is about 1.5mm under scale. This is not suprising as it comes from Jidenco and is scaled up from 4mm scale. So as things stand if I can turn a slightly smaller one to look better I will. If not I am happy to live with the slight errors as when looked at it portrays the loco it is ment too.
