Sniff, honk, cough, splutter

Title kinda gives it away really. I've been struck down with the dreaded lurgy for a couple of weeks now (pretty much since Cheltenham) and haven't been doing too much. In between bouts of coughing, sneezing and sleeping I have managed to make a little progress with the class 03, finishing off the idler and jackshaft assemblies. Tried it under power the other evening and all was well. I'm expecting a few problems when I finally add the rods though as I'm not convinced the wheels are totally circular and crankpin centres consistent. Time will tell.

Made a start this evening on the body. It's quite theraputic to carve off details (boy there are a lot of handrails). Am quite looking forward to progressing this bit.

I've mainly been concentrating on applying transfers to the increasing rakes of stock in the works, Ling, Crab, Dogfish and 2 Conflat Clays, yes I converted the other Boplate E into one after all. I don't recommend sneezing while you're trying to apply transfers with tweezers though...

The aim of all of this is to have the conflats, 03 and engineering train complete in time for Wheal Elizabeth's next show, at Weston on 17 January.

Will take and post some pictures to show progress
