I now have this back on the bench, I have the tender frames painted ready for rewheeling etc.

I also have managed a little on the body. I did run the RSU and new flux over all the joints to make sure they were OK after using not so good syuff so far on the build.

The kit has cast corners which I must say are a nice idea, except the cut is to big or they are to short. For some reason they also have the beading attached so it eill either need filing off or filing to suit the rest when attached.

I may also re start the main frames again and get them running as I am finishing off the tender. I am enjoying this build, not sure if it is because it is quite a nice kit, or because I have not built a loco for what seems like and age.

Hopefully more in a day or so, I have got my Portugese lessons starting again so that will start eating into my time again. It's all good fun if you don't weaken.

Nice to see progress on this. The idea with the cast corners does seem good, although it looks likey could have been a bit more refined.

I had Portuguese lessons once - alas now mostly forgotten. But I imagine you need it for everyday use, which is how to really learn a language, I think.

Thanks Mikkel

I am pleased to be progressing too.

I think it would of been easier learning a second language 30 years ago. I also need to read and write it too. So it is making my brain mushy.
