  1. Are the silver ones twin piped? If not then they might not get used on Mendip traffic much (but Jo is your man to confirm!). cheers Mike
  2. The first IPAs went in the post on Friday/Saturday. Ecofrets will go separately in a couple of weeks. Cheers Mike
  3. Yes, they will be available in a selection of singles. We had been planning to open the order book with samples in a few weeks but in light of recent developments we will almost certainly open our order book earlier. cheers Mike
  4. No, it is a separate announcement and we’re expecting samples by Warley. cheers Mike
  5. You can’t settle the balance until we send out the balance invoice (as per our FAQs!). cheers Mike
  6. Hi Lucy Not yet, we’re finalising the 4mm CAD (I think Ben is answering about another wagon). cheers Mike
  7. No? Why should it? There are a variety of factors that affect price including exchange rates, tooling and unit costs (which are in part affected by global commodity prices and part by how the model is designed) and quantity produced (which probably has the greatest impact). cheers Mike
  8. Here’s a couple of pictures of the Express Parcels unit 55994: https://www.revolutiontrains.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/55994-1-scaled.jpg https://www.revolutiontrains.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/55994-2-scaled.jpg cheers Mike
  9. The order deadline for pre-ordering from us was technically last night however I’m going to be out all day packing EALNOS orders so you can still order until I get home tonight! https://www.revolutiontrains.com/product/class-128-parcels-unit/ In addition some of you might have started to see that the two tone blue Express Parcels unit is going to be available exclusively from our retailers (not from us) - if you’re interested I’m sure retailers would welcome your early interest in this retail exclusive model so that they can order the correct quantity! I'll try to post some pictures of the livery sample later. cheers Mike
  10. We will be unlikely to offer a sound fitted version (though it will be easy to add a sound decoder) for the same reason as we haven’t on the 128 ie that the real things don’t exist and therefore recording a new sound project isn’t feasible plus many of the aftermarket suppliers have various DMU sound projects. cheers Mike
  11. Apologies - there was a typo in the instructions, it should have said CR-927s ie the same batteries as in the IZAs. cheers Mike
  12. I uploaded a sample consist diagram to our website yesterday which might be of interest to some - there's some interesting combinations! Hopefully it is of use to some! Cheers Mike
  13. Yes, we’ve shown EP samples of both the N and OO versions and livery samples of the N version - you’ll be able to see them at shows or I think(!) they’re on social media/our website. Cheers Mike
  14. Hi Simon Normally I'd have said yes (definitely) but we were pretty disappointed to find out that they weren't on the ship that they were originally booked on. If they've landed and cleared customs (and assuming that they're not at a port on strike) then they should be OK for before GETS, but I'm loathe to say definitely until we physically get the models! Cheers Mike
  15. Annoyingly the shipping company have just told us that the container didn’t make the ship that it was booked on (which was due into Southampton this weekend) but has been put on a ship arriving in 3-4 weeks time. I’ll update our website when we’ve got some more definite information. cheers Mike
  16. Plus we’ve just received the first samples: https://www.revolutiontrains.com/alcans-arrival/ cheers Mike
  17. If you stick 55022 Alcan into Flickr you’ll find quite a few cracking shots of a Deltic on the WHL with our tanks eg
  18. We had a temporary glitch with our website on Thursday following a software update, which was fixed on Friday - they should be available to order from our website now. Apologies Mike
  19. Yes, as mentioned it went to Blyth because there was a smelter there until relatively recently. Although there has been discussions about shipping alumina powder to Ft William our understanding from Alvance is that has other challenges and is not currently being actively pursued.
  20. In case anyone missed it here is our launch video: https://youtu.be/dWulE5zmcgE Cheers Mike
  21. I think the mixed rakes of alumina PCAs and PAB/PAA etc happened for a relatively brief period as the new PCAs were introduced in early 1988. Certainly makes for interesting rakes! Thanks for reminding me! Bizarrely there’s some of the depressed centre ‘V’ PCAs at Fort William at the moment - they were moved there when the Lynemouth smelter closed (along with many other bits and pieces) but IIRC they were moved by road and Alvance have no plans to use them. It was a case of take what could be moved when Lynemouth closed. I think I’ve got some drone footage of them that we didn’t use. Cheers Mike
  22. ROG posted a few pictures from their recent visit to Valencia. We're planning a trip out there in 2-3 months to look at some of the locos in a complete (hopefully!) state. Cheers Mike
  23. We’ll be doing a sample consist diagram in due course but rake length depends entirely on period. From new until GBRf took over the rake was typically 12-13 with 12 being very common as explained in the video. GBRf started off with 12 but now typically run 18-24. Cheers Mike
  24. The OO/4mm IPA car carriers left the factory recently and are now on the high seas. Due into Southampton (IIRC) in about 6 weeks time. We will advise of more detailed expected delivery date to the UK when we are more certain along with any balance payment arrangements. Cheers Mike
