  1. Well… a first for me a smooth and silky running association chassis kit awaiting its motor and pannier body.it went together easily and the gears meshed, maybe just maybe I’m getting the hang of this now- it’s about time!! Best Michael
  2. Afternoon all, modelling has been a little quiet recently, but a house move has given the opportunity of a new play room. so the builders are in today to turn the old brick built wash house into the railway room about 12x 6 ! very excited…. best wishes Michael
  3. Afternoon all, so the B set coaches are getting there, the second bodyshell benefits from the Masterclass chassis which is a real improvement and went together very well including the bogies, so may well take that route on the first body?? still as a novice coach builder I’m very pleased with the results so far ! all best Michael
  4. Afternoon all, Rather a quiet day at work today so a start has been made on Mr Higgs B set coaches. Have to say I’ve rather surprised myself it’s gone together rather nicely…. on to the bogies if I’m not disturbed today! all best michael

The right cv direction to disable the f2 brake function and the inertia feature on these decoders please. i can’t work this one out and it would be so useful just to be able to operate these with full control from the handset…. any ideas please I’d be very grateful best wishes michael

  9. I’ve a question to owners of these little locos, I have one and it’s runs beautifully no complaints at all especially with a decoder and stay alive fitted but a customer bought one from us the other day and came back and said it doesn’t run round 1st radius curves, we exchanged for another and he’s been back saying this one is a bit better but still not very good. Has anybody else had this experience, sounds not quite right to me and I’ve suggested give it a good run in and oil ? anyone got any comments to make. Thanks in advance michael
  10. Hello i was wondering if it’s possible and wouldn’t cause any damage if any additional yellow tantalum capacitors can be bolted/added on to the one fitted to these decoders as I haven’t tried it just wanted to make sure it would be ok???? many thanks in advance michael

  12. Morning all just wanted to close this off by saying all solved and working a treat. really wanted to say if anyone else encounters this that the curly cable I attached and had been sitting in my NCE box for years unused actually had 4 pins and on searching the forums discovered it needed to be 6 pins, changed it over and success! very impressed with this system. it may mention this in the instructions but I couldn’t find it! regards michael

  17. That looks familiar, heres Minories on 2 x 3' scenic boards, otherwise known as Hallam Town, platform 1 can take 5 coaches plus tender loco, but I prefer it with 3/4 coach trains.Less is more...... Regarding stock, and which trains to go, conversions from N give a lot of options, I am running Hallam Town as late 1950/60's Midland Region and its been seen at exhibitions in this guise now with the following basic: Station pilot - converted Jinty suburban passenger: 2 coach suburban stock Green 2 car DMU, Single Car DMU inter regional train 4 coaches Parcels train, various converted. Express ; the Blue Pullman makes an appearance! Various other combinations are possible, Loco wise Jinty, Panniers,4F,J39,Fairburn tank conversions are all usable Class 20,24,31,37,47 all possible, So lots of possibilities, and the layout will be out and about next at the Erith Model Railway Exhibition/Longbridge Show end of January 23. best Michael 😀
