  1. Great weathering on the MXA wagon and the Balfour Beatty FEA has turned out amazing. Can't wait to see the Salmons weathered, I didn't realise they had done the YWA and YSA so have got both but I'm sure they still run together, may be tempted to pick up a few more.
  2. As I model present day the Osprey’s are the only one I’d like to see now.
  3. My order arrived today and they are amazing. A great and much needed addition to the modern engineering wagon fleet. A nice amount of weight to them. Glad to also see some spare handbrake wheels included as well. Only thing missing now is the Osprey’s.
  4. Yes, I've had it before with them, think with Caroline I got the dispatch notification after it had been delivered. If the tracking states it was at the Royal Mail depot in Cambridge then it's more than likely from Revolution.
  5. Although I'm not an N gauge modeller, I had a look over my mates wagons the other day, while they are nice wagons there was a couple of issues that we picked up on, one being the cosmetic coupling hook is fitted off centre in one of the brake pipe holes and where the hook should be is blanked off, which is something that wasn't on decorated samples but looking back at pre-production samples they are off centre on them. The other issue he found was he was unable to get any replacement coupling to engage into the NEM pocket.
  6. A great series that defiantly put a different light on the hobby. Was great being in episode three with my newly acquired layout Acton Parkway, which was set up for the first time at the Beckenham and West Wickham club for testing, check out the layouts thread for more. Was great talking to Pete about the hobby and how far its come on in terms of detail etc. Hopefully a second series will be commissioned to hopefully delve into the hobby more, possibly looking at how the models are manufactured and exhibitions.
  7. Also need to find transfers for both types. I’ll probably be pestering you for advice at some point.
  8. Cracking work on the Salmon wagons, got about 12 Cambrian kits myself to do but just don't get the time or have the space to get them done plus never really done any kit building/painting and weathering before. Also got the stanchions to do some as Ospreys.
  9. Yes there will be a notice up at the originally advertised venue.
  10. Glad you enjoyed Gordon’s Lane, as one of the operators, it was a great weekend entertaining the visitors. These are the only two pictures I managed to get of the layout at the weekend.
  11. Just a reminder that this Saturday is the Beckenham and West Wickham Model Railway Clubs Model Railway Show. With plenty of high quality layout and a selection of traders in attendance. 12. They are referring to the GWR Manor Class that's named Bradley Manor, which was an exclusive for Key Publishing.
  13. Next Saturday is the Beckenham and West Wickham Model Railway Clubs Model Railway Show. This year being at a new, bigger venue, which is well connected by public transport. Free on street parking is available if you are arriving by car. Up to 20 layouts, traders and societies in attendance. Check out the website for more details: http://www.bwwmrc.co.uk/exhibitions/23Oct/index.shtml Online program: http://www.bwwmrc.co.uk/exhibitions/23Oct/BWWMRC SHOW PROG 2023.pdf
  14. Little Trains & Big Names with Pete Waterman starts on 19th October, with 4 episodes in the series.
  15. The A, B, C and D are different running numbers of the specific liveries, so each livery had 4 different running number.
  16. Many thanks, I have a bit of work to do still as the layout was in a sorry state. I can’t wait to get the layout out and about and hope it keep the trains moving all the time. I do hope you’ll be able to see it when it’s back out.
  17. I’m nights on the next lot unfortunately.
  18. Update time Last week I was able to get the extension boards done for the sides of the layout. This will make both the operating area and train run better. All that needs to be done on these boards are to wire them up, install point motors and the get the layout to lay the rest of the inner loop.
  19. Colletts Models offer an instalment plan for pre-orders. I use him a lot for pre-orders.
  20. We're paying for a miniature replica of the real thing at the end of the day so expect them to be accurate. The picture below is off the revolution website and the logo is incorrect on that as well, despite what Mike B has said above about them using the correct logo.
  21. Having had mine arrive on Friday, I took it to run on my layout at Shoeburyness Model Railway Exhibition at the weekend and have a few points to share. - The internal plastic packaging I think would have been better as a clam shell design to make it a bit easier to get the model out and protect some on the more fragile part, as a few parts on mine are damaged. - The plastic shims between the bogie and underframe where removed in order to reduce the ride height and it also sorted out the constant flickering lights I had. Overall a fantastically detailed model and one that makes a complete short train.
  22. Hi Mike, Is the email in the instruction booklet the best to use for any issues? I've already sent one to it just wanted to make sure.
  23. Great to see this one finally announced @Accurascale Fran after being teased by it for a few weeks. My pre-order was quickly placed and all to help a good cause.
  24. If it's currently at Peterborough , then it will be from Revolution. Had mine turn up today.
