Hi Al, Apogies for delay in answering not been 100% these last few days. 1have topped the ones I have in ballast and sat in hopper. Very kind offer have you got dogfish loads? Kind regards Julian.

Checking over the dogfish wagons, so far out of the four, one screw coupling loose in box and two with a wheel set out the axle box, not bad for such a long journey I suppose. I would check them as at least one screw coupling on every wagon were nearly on the final thread!!

Excellent Ade. Some fabulous pictures love the one with the crew member in the cab! -
Can anyone confirm if the lighting arrangement on Hanson Halls Class 50 has been changed? It appears from videos Iv seen that both tail lights are showing and the side lights going forward are on or appeared so.

Hi Pj10, Early stages of planning with two board frames knocked together this time with 4x1 or its new money equivalent. No ply tops on as yet but will be 10mm ply. Thinking of a doing a wagon repair depot based on Tees Yard with a fuelling point hence the marcway three way point. Iv also purchased some other marcway rh/lh points and some DCC Concept cobalt IP point motors. Iv never had point motors before and unsure how to wire these points up. Regards Julian.

Building another O gauge micro layout and weathering stock
Baggies1961 replied to Nick G's topic in 7mm+ modelling
Hi Nick, Remember the terminal too, apologies Id forgotten it was in Rail Express. Who would have thought back then, us British modellers would eventually get American style mechanisms and detail as standard. -
Iv bought a three way Marcway point. I note the frog has a cut through it for obvious reasons. Im sure they told me that power will go through the point without extra wiring. Will I have to wire the frog up to the new DCC concepts cobalt digital point motor Iv just bought? I have never had a layout with point motors before, so I wanted this next layout to be the first!

Yes, this one was purchased from the Glos/Warks Railway and thousands of hours have gone into the restoration. It was in very poor condition when purchased. The bottom picture board on site explains its origins.

Hi Nick, Thanks for that. Did you hear a penny drop where you are? Just spent an hour over breakfast going through your excellent thread then saw your dyserth road mention. I still remember the excellent feature in Model rail supplement I think it was then many years ago. Best wishes Julian. -

106 looks great, mines caught in the post strike (more inconvenience for the public) 🤬. Even though I model in O wanted one of these for years. Looking forward to the ‘big one’ arriving next year.

Called in on the Yorkshire Wolds Railway yesterday to see what was going on. Continually amazed at the dedicated work our volunteers do. Particularly the restoration on the brake van and signal box currently under construction. A glimpse underneath of the brake linkage being put in place.

Thanks John, Hope your well. The thing Id forgotten to do, thanks for the reminder, I did this on earlier figures too. Best wishes Julian.
