  1. South Pelaw and Grantham the highlight of the show for me. I have attended York for over 20 years. Always loved the specialist traders. Always great for grabbing those bits and pieces. Sadly we are loosing many of the specialists and some great traders such as Tower Models. Some of the replacements are poor to be fair. expensive secondhand tat. Overall though a great show, see you 2025
  2. Ebay it is for another BR version. If they come up
  3. Is there a plan to do another run? could the A5 be the basis to develop an A8? Thoughts
  4. They are a business and I’m sure they will resource up to ensure it is a success. Hope they do it justice. The Warley lads have always put a good show on
  5. Wondering if the show will be on par with Warley? Hall 12 looks half the size of 5 but I know Warley did not use the full footprint. Thoughts? It’s 270 miles each way for me. Happy if it’s similar
  6. The Locomotion is brilliant. I will be preordering that one. What is really sad is the Nellie, Polly and Connie. The originals for me were a nice little representation of an industrial. Still have my Nellie in the display cabinet. The new versions are dreadful. Really disappointed there was not an attempt to look at reworking the originals. The fascination with the Beatles? Appreciate I will get a pasting for being negative but terrible. I just hope they sell and keep Hornby going. I’m just thankful for the wide range of manufacturers we now have bring good quality models to the market
  7. Great to read about the relaunch. I have two J27’s, brilliant models. There have been some great wagons but supply of new seems to have dried up. Hopefully we will see some reruns of tanker wagons and Warwells
  8. With a lot of comments regarding the arrival of KR to the WD party. I have just have a good chat with the Ellis Clark team at Warley. They have already reached the tooling stage and had a great 3D printed model on show. I already have mine preordered so will stick where I’m at. I’m impressed with the proposed level of detail planned. Nothing against KR I have a Class 40 on order and bought 9 cracking ore wagons recently
  9. Fantastic to see manufacturers supporting the heritage groups. Much needed support at the moment
  10. Locomotion model ready for 2025. My guess. Seems to be popular to look towards the pioneers at the moment
  11. Fantastic to attend York again after Covid and last years absence. Really liked Shap, brilliant layout. We seem to have lost a few of the regular traders. Possibly retired. York for me is the show you can go get all your bits and bobs, I hope those missing this year return. Couple of second hand tat traders in replacement, no offence intended, just not York regular standard. Absolutely appreciate the gaps need to be filled. See you all again next year. Well worth a visit!!
  12. J21 for me. Soon be a complete Loco for scanning. I would also add an A8 but do hope Sonic models follow up with their A5 with that one.
  13. A BR version in OO, one of the Kirby Stephen branch would be nice
  14. Great show. Not an O gauge modeller but went for the look out. Inspiring, great layouts and good to catchup with friends. Not much OO as you would expect but still managed a few bits along with plenty of modelling supplies. Well recommend. Hope to see it on in 2023
  15. I hope this does not sink Hornby. Probably would have been better off entering the N gauge market. I cannot see many folk making a complete move from their current preferences of say N, OO or O when they have amassed decent diverse collections. Possibly more a little side project. I think there is so much untapped potential models highlighted in the wish lists that Hornby could have tackled.
