  3. Hello, I am looking for help and advice / recommendations in building a OO gauge Nu-Cast Beyer Garratt. I want to try and build this pretty accurately, obviously depending on cost and replacement parts availability ? I have read other blogs / topics on this loco etc and have become slightly confused, and have the following questions. What is the best chassis(s) to use to create this loco ? Is it 2 Comet Fowler 2-6-4 chassis. Or are Alan Gibson frames a good starting point ? Who produces the the most appropriate Valve gear ? I intend to have both 'engines' motorised, what is the recommended Motor / Gearbox solution ? Who produces the correct wheels ? Apologies if these question are repeats but I am starting with a 'blank canvas' and mind Cheers, Ian
  4. Hello, Could you please let the forum know when the following is supposed to be fixed ? This seems to be the most annoying issue to me at present. Cheers, Previously uploaded image attachments not displaying In posts made before the upgrade where any image attachments are uploaded currently you may see something like [attachment=1093445:p001_BRMFeb19 4.75.jpg]. I have been advised that when all of the indexing is carried out these should correct themselves. Post owners can go into Edit the post and they should see all of the attachments below the text editor box and they can re-insert them into the post - this would rely on the post owner revisiting and editing the post so patience would be needed there!

The following link is a photo of the built 1143 .... https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=photos+of+peckett+models&rlz=1C1AZAA_enGB762GB762&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiQnZnq7o_eAhXSa8AKHYy_Am0QsAR6BAgAEAE&biw=1600&bih=758#imgrc=KXPAefXVfidj-M: I am hoping to build another, 1145, but I am aware there are some differences between the two engines, although of the same class. . I am hoping people maybe able to tell me all the differences between the two engines ..... please ? I am aware of the following, 1145. had a different Dome, different Tank Filler and a Tank Breather . It also had Peckett Injectors and a straight handrail on the smokebox. https://railphotoprints.uk/p249682189/hD8738AA#h133bee20 Are there more differences, and does anybody know where maybe I could purchase the different Dome, etc ?? 18. Help if at all possible .... I am trying to accurately model a pair of Caledonian 'Pugs', 56028 & 56039 in their later lives under BR. Does anyone have information on the wheel size and spokes etc ? I think they were 3ft 8" wheels ? Also what wheels were used for the small wooden tenders ? Finally is it possible to obtain these wheels in 4mm (OO) scale and from which supplier ? I believe these locos carried works plates on both sides - is this correct ? Can anybody help me with the detail of the woks plates, eg, shape, dimensions and lettering etc on the plates ? Thanks in advance, Ian
