GWR W4 Peckett 'Hercules'
Staffordshire replied to Staffordshire's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
First the good news, the kit for Hercules turned up today from CSP Models, now the work begins. Jumping the gun a bit but does anyone know what colour Hercules (under BR, 1950-54) was painted ? I seem to think it was GWR green, which naturally became very very dirty. Many thanks, Ian -

LNER/BR A2/2 Cab Fronts (again)
Staffordshire replied to Staffordshire's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
Thank you for this, think I now almost understand. One last question PDK kits advertise two kits, one V - Front Cab, the other Flat Front Cab, which one of those two equates to the cut-off front streamlined style you stated ? I am assuming it's the V-Front ? Excuse my ignorance. Many thanks, Ian -
Hello, Sorry if this information can be found elsewhere, but I just need a couple of precise questions answered, many thanks. I am looking to model either 60501 or 60502 in BR days, hopefully in their latter days, but that depends on the answer ! Basically which Cab Fronts did these two locomotive end their days with ? Did they run at anytime during the period 1950 - 1962 with the other type of Cab Front ? ie, did they both have both types of cab front at different periods during the BR days ? Many thanks, Ian

Right next question, These small Shunters also had the North British Motif on the front above the radiator. Does anyone know the dimensions of the Motif, as I have requested Narrow Planet to produce, as not currently in there range . Many thanks, Ian Plate shown as in this link .... https://transportsofdelight.smugmug.com/RAILWAYS/BRITISH-DIESEL-AND-ELECTRIC/PRE-TOPS-DIESEL-LOCOMOTIVES/i-jLcq626/A -

Royal Scot Tender works plates
Staffordshire replied to Staffordshire's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
Thanks for that, could anybody please inform me which year Tender's 9043 & 9046 were built ? -
Quick question, The LMS / BR Royal Scots locos, am I correct in believing they all has LMS/BR Stanier 4000 gallon tenders ? The two locos I am really interested in are 46127 Old Contemptibles and 46159 Royal Air Force ..... Did these two locos have the Stanier 4000 gallon riveted tenders ? What worksplates did these tenders carry, I believe it was two, one oval, one square ? What details were within each plate ? Any photos of tenders showing plate details would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hello, Once again I am looking for help, information and advice.... I was hoping to model the following two classes of shunters ... * LMSR/English Electric 350hp 0-6-0 Diesel Electric .... Tops class 11, BR Numbers 12033 - 12138 * SR/English Electric 350hp 0-6-0 Diesel Electric Tops class 12, BR Numbers 15211 - 15236 The questions does anyone know if any kits or modeller aids of these two classes in 4mm gauge have ever been available ? Any information, photos of models of these classes would be greatly received. Many thanks, Ian -
Hello, I believe the following is all correct, GWR inherited a W4 Peckett loco that was Numbered as '1' and named Hercules. I believe this loco was sheded at either Danygraig or East Swansea ? What I am searching for are any photos of this loco in the years 1945 - 1959 ? There must be some available ? Cheers, Ian
