If you can hang on for a few weeks, I'm in the middle of sorting out with Minty for the speakers for mine, which will gain a Paul Chetter Protodrive Zimo 'big boy' decoder! Which I'll document on here if it helps. Hope you and the family had a good Christmas. Rich Thanks Rich had a great Christmas hope you an your family did to. Are you using one of Jinty's (or as you like to call him 'Minty's ' ) 08 speakers or something different? I'm hoping to get over and see him in Jan. RMweb Gold MarshLane Posted December 29, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 29, 2016 Thanks Rich had a great Christmas hope you an your family did to. Are you using one of Jinty's (or as you like to call him 'Minty's ' ) 08 speakers or something different? I'm hoping to get over and see him in Jan. Cheers Hi Paul, Yes not a bad Christmas thanks. It's my spell checker keeps turning Jinty into Minty! Obviously not an LMS fan! Yes the 08 are David's (Jinty) speakers, as the 40 will be too. I need to pop the body off and sort out what space there is 40 the speaker, was hoping to do it the past couple of days but not had time! RMweb Gold PjKing1 Posted January 2, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 2, 2017 Well I'll start with a happy new year to all and here's to a great years modelling in 2017. Not much been done over the festive period apart from the odd ten minutes here or there but I have made a start on the blue 08. So here's a ome pics of the first stages of weathering. In some ways weathering is easier in 7mm as things are bigger but on a whole I think the attention to detail makes things a lot more difficult, in a good way though, it just means it takes a bit longer. It's by no means anywhere near finished but I'm just glad to of made a start. Cheers
RMweb Gold MarshLane Posted January 2, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 2, 2017 Hi Paul, Couldn't sleep so am wandering the halls of rmWeb on the phone!! That weathering detail on the 08 mate looks really good, well done! Keep going Rich
