RMweb Premium melmerby Posted November 3, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 3, 2019 The fourth one with the UP & BNSF tracks side by side is great. Photographer was just in front of this: https://goo.gl/maps/2mruKTXFWX486Wtg8 The tracks of the two lines weave back & forth thru Cajon pass and seems to be a mecca for rail photographers

The three main ones are BNSF but UP have trackage rights. The 4th (The Palmdale Cutoff ) belongs to UP. The whole place is a fabulous place for watching trains. The old route 66 follows it closely. Jamie Driving down the pass on Interstate 15 on a Sunday evening with five lanes of maniacs coming back from Lost Wages is really scary.

Watched 4014 go thru twice as one pc had a 10 seconds delay compared to the other one that I had on at the time!
