NXEA!
Mods feel free to move this if it's in the wrong forum section! Gents, I am looking for No More Nails Fast to use for gluing Knauf Space Board Eco sheets together. I've seen it mentioned on a few threads that No More Nails Fast is the one that is needed as it doesn't eat through foam like the others. I've scoured the net but can't find any, other than No More Nails Express. Is this the one that is being referred to? If not, could someone link me with the product I am after, or an alternative one similar to No More Nails Fast which is good to use with styrofoam! Thanks in advance. jcm@gwr
You don't have to be restricted to No More Nails. Most of the gap filling/grab adhesives are produced in two versions, interior and exterior, the difference is that the interior tends to be solvent-free. It is the solvent that attacks the foam, it will say if it is solvent-free. It also means it is not weatherproof, but then it is suitable for polystyrene as well. Good luck, Jeff
NXEA!
Thank you Jeff, looks I will be going for NMN Invisible!
RMweb Gold Tony_S Posted November 3, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 3, 2013 Being cheap I use the own brand "solvent free" grab adhesive from Wickes to join the foam board sheets together Rather than use something expensive I fix the foam with skewers (bamboo barbecue bulk pack) at odd angles). I like copydex to put cork onto the foam for track bed. Copydex seems to have got very expensive lately (and in small containers). Glad I bought it years ago

Pete 75C
This stuff comes ever so highly reccomended by a friend who is a builders merchant.....he sells literally Sh!t loads of it http://www.screwfix.com/p/sticks-like-sh-t-290ml-white/22070 £5.97 a tube!!! I must be tight. How about 12 tubes for £17.99? It's only glue... as stated, just go for the solvent-free version. RMweb Premium polybear Posted November 3, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 3, 2013 This stuff comes ever so highly reccomended by a friend who is a builders merchant.....he sells literally Sh!t loads of it http://www.screwfix.com/p/sticks-like-sh-t-290ml-white/22070 Agreed, oh yes... Perhaps overkill for baseboards, but the best thing since sliced bread (better, in fact) around the house, and outside too. And it's overpaintable. Love it polybear
BG John
This stuff comes ever so highly reccomended by a friend who is a builders merchant.....he sells literally Sh!t loads of it http://www.screwfix.com/p/sticks-like-sh-t-290ml-white/22070 I've never tried it, but I can't imagine Sh!t would actually stick anything, let alone Space Board Is this solvent free adhesive also the stuff for attaching the Space Board to timber/ply framework and edging? I'm planning a one sheet of Space Board layout, so don't need to join it to itself.
JeffP
It sticks to blankets...allegedly.
L&Y
Most good builders merchants keep no more nails in stock. Or something similar. It is also by far the cheapest place to buy it. The postage on things like this is often as much as the item itself!
jcm@gwr
Tesco's are now doing their own brand, it's available in their larger stores. It is in the Value range, I've used it and been happy with it's performance. Jeff
