enginelane
Another cold day so lungs not working too well. It’s a good job never smoked! But opportunity to clear up the modelling desk and run in the Real Track 156 that Santa left at Christmas. Will take opportunity of adding driver and some passengers before purchasing the necessary decoders at the Pontefract Show this coming weekend. Then will be running on Troutons at Glasgow in late Feb
enginelane
Finished weathering the Freightliner wagons. This pair will make the total rake of wagons to 3 pairs so a useful medium sized train to fit in the smaller loops of the fiddleyard and i reckon will be seen heading off down the industrial branch for spot loads. 2

enginelane
First trip north of Leeds for the layout to Glasgow and had a super 3 days running trains. Very pleased with the comments received from the visiting public and of course being awarded 3rd place in the non association layouts section was the icing on the cake. Many thanks to the organisers of the show for inviting the team for their hospitality and organisation of the show. Good to catch up with the Aberdeen crew and excellent to see so much interest being shown in their winning layouts. Let’s hope the wave of interest generated by Series 1 increases membership of all clubs up and down the country. Yes Troutons did have For Sale notices on it at Glasgow and the asking price for everything that is glued down including lighting pelmet etc is much less than people thought it would be, the reason is simple we would prefer the layout, baseboards to have another use rather than be broken up for track and bits etc. The money raised will be put straight back into the next modern image project construction of which starts in March.
