Phill Dyson (onslaught832)
Will Falcon be at GOG Kettering?
brian daniels
I doubt it Phil as I am on duty with DBS at midday. But I am on a job that's gone pear shaped because the landslip at Harbury so who knows, I might be booked off so will then go to Kettering with it.

Popular Post brian daniels
I have now put a bit of weathering on Falcon. It had a good trot round my friends layout yesterday.
bobster
That looks superb Brian, the weathering really sets it off. Cheers, Bob.

flexible_coupling
The snap looking through the brick arch is stunning. Wow.
brian daniels
It should be on Towers stand at Kettering as I am booked off work Saturday at the moment so I will take it there mid morning so long as DBS don't have any other ideas..
JeffP
Ah yes...Tower...the people who made it happen...LOL
JeffP
Did it get there? How was it received? Did Tower say?
Guest 47107
Did it get there? How was it received? Did Tower say? I saw it there (and a two tone green body). It seemed to be attracting a lot of interest.
brian daniels
I have painted a spare body in BR Green but am just putting some windows in it now that I have found them so I will put a picture up on here in due coarse.
JeffP
ANOTHER spare body.........I'm mugging you for it Brian....... Seriously, when you say you've "found" the windows, you mean where you put them safe, or found some that fit?
brian daniels
You wouldn't want a spare body without a chassis now would you Jeff and we only have one chassis. I took the glazing sprue out on Saturday morning to put the headcode glass in for Kettering and when I got back I could not remember where I put it back, it's old age creeping up on me I swear. Anyway all the windows are in now and a set of windy wipers.
JeffP
I'd build a chassis. I have bogie sides from a 31 to modify, and the rest would have to be scratch.
brian daniels
Here you are then Falcon in BR Green. Sorry about the gap above the bufferbeam but that's one area that needs sorting. And I did not have any buffers or rad grills.
steve fay
Looks great Brian, definitely the best colour option
JeffP
To quote Blackadder: "DAMN!!!!!!!!" Now I might have to have two. The windows look good, are they as they will be, or did you have to make those? What do you mean by, ".....didn't have any rad grills?" Are they etched? Separate? It looks gorgeous...I hope Heljan make as good a job of the ones for sale. The bogie steps look odd? I think it's running number OUGHT to have been 1109...anyone else see why? brian daniels
The windows are what you get Jeff, nothing to do with me. The round roof grills for the rads are etched and yes those steps are on the to do list.
