Burning fingers warm.

Hi Clive,

Could it then be the Cravens prototype open second E4638 ?

It doesn't look like the BRCW equivalent prototypes as the windows are the wrong shape.

Clive, that scratchbuild looks brilliant! with its more appropriate sized windows it must show up those on the old Hornby cut and shuts.

. . .Dare I say it. . .  but the glazing will be simpler as well.

Hi Jim,

I thought he had cocked up the windows of the Cravens SO and bodged it into something else to save it but was too polite to say !

I found out the Trix 3.8mm scale Mk1 chassis is the correct length and the bogies are the right centers for a 61 ft 6ind LNER coach.

Three things Trix coaches are useful for.

1, sides ideal for Swindon built DMUs.

2, roofs are the right profile for Hastings units, and chassis are useful.

3, the Commonwealth bogies are a tad under 4mm and when fitted with scale wheels and under a full length coach look OK.

4, the chassis is useful for LNER coaches.

A LNER Tourist Buffet, one of the three rebuilt with propane cooking, on a Trix Chassis with Mailcoach bogies.

A song to go out with a bang to this week

Hi Clive,

Have you a lot of paint that needs to be used up and decided that some plasticard shapes were required to soak it all up ?

...and they are the free-est running RTR coach bogies I've ever known.

There has been a lot going on in the model room but still not much to show. Now I couldn't make up my mind which of these two songs I should share with you today.

So please vote for Rosa and Jenny

Or Emily

Or just enjoy both songs.

Hi Andy

Pluto went out this evening in Gus's rain coat. Gus was quite stocky compared to Pluto, he looked like a poor kid having to wear his neighbour's hand me down school blazer. He'll grow into it.

Pluto looks fantastic. What breed is he and where did he come from? What a great idea to name your dog after an LNWR 2-4-0 :)
What is the  cockers name ?
