20th Anniversary of the South Dublin Model Railway Club club rooms.
I had a grand day at South Dublin’s Open Day yesterday, many great layouts on show but the Adavoyle layout stole to show for me, first time seeing it in operation. Pictures of this layout below.

KIRLEY JUNCTION – OIL WAGONS

Just got these Bachmann wagons, not sure if Fina ran on Irish rails, the only ones I could find was Irish Shell & BP, Esso, Mex, Burmah and Caltex which became Texaco.

Might be a Terence Dorrity photo.

Irish Rail Mark II coaches in various colours

I decided to lightly weather my MkII coaches and when you put them together you can see the colour variations were so different in these mostly RTR coaches.

New Arrival At KIRLEY JUNCTION

New arrival straight from Gareth Brennan's work bench, the iconic Harland & Wolff build locomotive No.28.

Irish Shell Oil Wagons.

I bought some Bachmann Fina Wagons and re-branded them to Irish Shell.  Darius had changed similar Bachmann wagons and very kindly provided me with the decals. These were excellent and easy to use.

"Pockets Are Back"

Pocket wagons have been taken out of storage and are going back in service on Irish rails. (Dapol pocket wagons extended to carry 45' containers and Pocket Wagon Detailing kits from SSM)
